Ava Seymour is on the run from her father when she encounters Kyle Lashton, a Therian shifter seeking to protect her and reunite her with her sister. She doesn’t know anything about Therian’s, shifters, or the gifts that she has recently developed. When she meets Kyle for the first time she accidentally teleports them into the mountains which gives Kyle the bases to open her mind to a new world.
I really enjoyed Kyle and Ava. We meet Kyle in book 2 of the series but we don’t spend a lot of time with him. I had seen him as more of a cold character but he is actually very warm and surprisingly open with Ava from the beginning. Ava is more analytical than her sister. She takes in all the information she can before she makes a decision. Needless to say that made for a slower build up to the story.
Many of the same characters appear in this installment as were in book 2 and it would be advisable to read them in order. While the main characters change and the story does stand on its own, there is story arc that is (so far) spanning the series and is still open. The bad guys are still floating out there and while this book ended with a small victory, you can see how the series is still building up for a big conflict.
I enjoyed the flow of this story. I was never sure where the next scene would take me or how the characters would adjust but I thought it worked really well. I did feel like Ava and Kyle fort of slide into a relationship without much buildup but the explanation of how that happens makes sense. I did like how Ava takes control over what is happening to her towards the end of the book and starts to make the decisions of how she wants her life to be.
When the story ends we are left with a few secondary character cliffhangers the main one being Kyle’s sister who has been missing since book 2. The reader gets bad guy scenes so we have known where she has been this whole time but the other Therian’s didn’t. I am almost positive her story will be next and I am very excited to read it. I am enjoying how the series flows from one book to the next yet still manages to give you glimpse of the previous characters without overwhelming the reader with too much information or short changing the main characters. Overall and excellent addition to the series.

Keeps getting better!
I can't finish these books fast enough! The intense action, fast paced storyline and incredibly hot sex scenes names only a few things to keep your attention until the last page. Excited to start the next book in the series asap!

This series is addictive. The Therian world is incredible and so well developed. Kyle and Ava generate so much heat making this one steamy read.

This novel moved along quite nicely. I was never bored and found myself unable to put it down. The continuity was exceptional and that is a quite a feat considering all the factors at play. I had no idea what to expect next and I loved every minute of it. The sex scenes were not overly erotic, were well paced, and imaginative, but still tasteful and fun.
Therian Promise story is a continuation of the first book Therian Prey. I would highly recommend they be read in order. As a whole this series has plots with intriguing twists and turns, steamy sexual encounters, and the characters are so charming, you want to get to know them personally.
I’m just going to put it out there, I love Therians! The paranormal genre is a favorite of mine and when I find a new fascinating take on it, I just devour it. Ms. Friberg can’t write fast enough for me. The Therians have an interesting history, a highly developed society and their passion burns up the pages. The world building for this series has been thrilling and simply ingenious.
I have no idea where Ms. Friberg is going to take me next in this journey. I am more than happy to pay the price and reserve my seat. Come along on the ride, you don’t want to miss it!

Steamy, Exciting and Thrilling!
This is a great “edge of your seat” read. Although this is book two in the series it is a standalone read. You immediately become enveloped in the story and are just as amazed as Ava, as the tiny bits of her past are pieced together to form this amazing adventure. The chemistry between Ava and Kyle is undeniable and you as the reader are drawn into this story filled with lots of exciting twists, turns, and hot and steamy episodes!
Contemporary romance book readers will surely be hooked on the paranormal romance genre after reading this book! Author Cyndi Friberg takes you on a journey of shape-shifters, romance, adventure and hot steamy erotica. You are left with an unfinished feeling wondering what happens to some of the characters and the storyline, but this abrupt ending does leave you waiting for the next book! Two thumbs up for Cyndi Friberg and the fascinating world she has created of the Therian culture, filled with memorable characters, thrilling adventures and hot love scenes.

A solid entry into a excellent series.
It appears Ian will get his story next and he'll be hooking up with Devon, Kyle's sister.
Obviously the psycho "angel" mistress freak and the creepy abolitionist are both Raptor females, so we might get more information them from Ian's POV, so hopefully he's next.
Other guy HEA's I'd like to see are Payne, Jake and Lunden.
It appears Ian will get his story next and he'll be hooking up with Devon, Kyle's sister.

I didn't go for this one as much as the first one. But still good. The next story is already out. Will read it soon. Ian and Devon is the next story. I hope it is better than this one.

Good but disappointed that there was no mate bond or blood ritual or shapeshifting for Ava. Isn't that the heart of the story?
