Count to 10 by Emily Thompson *This book is part of my personal library*
This is a fun counting book with familiar characters that kids will love to read over and over again. I know Lilly and I have read this one several times.
She loves Elmo and all the characters from Sesame Street and we make a game out of counting the objects in the book. I was excited when it was offered for free on Amazon in celebration of Elmo’s birthday.
This book is geared more to 1-3 year old children who will love the colorful pages and fun loving characters. Lilly loves this one and we give it 4 Stars.
Before we started, one of my boys said, "This is going to be good. I can tell."
It was good, and my boys enjoyed it. It is a little below their age level, but that's OK. They can sort experience this book in all new ways, now that they are older.
I couldn't help thinking that some day, sooner than I would like, they will be too cool for Sesame Street. I have really enjoyed getting reacquainted with Sesame St. It really is quite brilliant.
I'll miss it when my boys become too "cool". And I'll miss my little boys who take such all encompassing, unfiltered delight in count with furry monsters.
This is a really great illustrated counting book for children that takes into account the characters and common threads that accompany our favorite seseme street characters.
Personally I keep this book on my ereader so that when I am in a situation where I need to entertain one of my young neices or nephews I can. I love the simplicity, fun and colors in this book.
