Just released a new series called Avery Snow- A Paranormal Series - vol 1 - A New Witch in Town. Make sure you check it out.
I am passionate about creating. Whether that is in the form of writing, painting, drawing, hair styling and makeup. I enjoy listening to music and playing video games. I love to read every chance I get. I read a variety of genre's. I am married and we have two beautiful boys. I love anything supernatural and I have an affinity for vampires.
ARR- I received this book in exchange for a review
This series is AWESOME. this is the 3rd installment and with this comes even more twidts and turns and more love triangle maybe even a love quad LOL. I can't tell you how I tried to drag out the reading of this book because the next installment is not ready but sadly it didn't work I finished this one and will have to wait for the next.
Ok so in this installment we have Sarah's daughter missing, Chase is still dead or is he ... Ambrose is still getting on her nerves but still finding ways to get her to warm uo to him if you know what I mean wink wink. Erick is there but also trying to stay away and now let's introduce Lennoxx- very hot guy with a scottish accent .
There are so many twistsand turns in this installment that I was shocked and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. This may be my favorite one and can I say the ending of this one had me screaming where is the 4th book. Awesome story and really great characters.
I guess this didn't save the first time! SO lets try this again!
First I would like to thank Mrs. Ross for this book!
Oh gosh where to start.. I love this series! S.L Ross has done it again. she gives you a story full of twists, turns, crazy love and most of all a story that you have no idea where it will go from one page to next. Just when you think you got it figured out, WHAM she throws you a curve! Its a thrill ride! Leaves you wanting more!
Through out the book I didn't know if I wanted to strangle Sarah or comfort her! She is still strong headed as ever and still mission bound to get her daughter back at any cost! Between the love triangle (which is still crazy as ever.. which you gotta love) and all that they are going through will things ever get better? Sarah at times to me didn't realize how much help she really had! I think if she would have opened up a bit more things would have turned out differently for her!
I will say I was sad on how things ended! But so looking forward to the next one!!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
In this book we continue to follow Sarah, Ambrose, Chase and Erick. Mainly Sarah, Ambrose, and Erick because Sarah thinks that Chase is dead. We follow them through the country as they meet up with various people so that they can take on the Council and get Alaina back.
Once Sarah finally faces the Council, she does it alone since she doesnt give anyone a chance after the Council kills Alaina. The whole time during this journey, Sarah is hearing whispers.
We find out later that it was Chase calling to her for help and she had written it off as Ambrose screwing with her yet again :-(
I am glad that I read this series. It was cute and left me guessing as to which way the story would go. I think that Sarah was completely fickle, falling in love so much but thats ok it was party of her character.
I am on to read Book 4 now, The Reckoning. Glad I came across S. L. Ross and her books!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
When I started writing this addition to the series I honestly didn't like where it was going. But with a little help from a friends review I continued with the story line and wrote it to the end changing the end on her lol. I like where I took the story for Sarah and cant wait to share the next book with everyone.
Gone and done it again. Lennox omg how sexy is he!!! Some things happened that I wish never <3 Jeff... Never been so excited to read a book before and the end OmG leave me hanging........grrrr. PLEASE release book 4 soon I cant wait to see what happens!
To what lengths would you go to get your child back if she was taken? Never mind that she is a supernatural hybrid who may or may not be part of a preordained plan. Sarah will stop at nothing and is willing to pay any price to save her daughter. With the help of many of her most powerful friends, she risks everything to bring Alaina home. Will she succeed or will she end up bringing more grief into her life, possibly killing everyone who stands with her? And finally, just who is Lennox and how does he fit in? Has Sarah’s love life gotten even more complicated? There’s Erick, Chase, Ambrose and now Lennox, do they represent her past, present and future or will the council decide for Sarah when they bring down their mandate? Must Sarah forsake everything and everyone? Wouldn’t alone be better? Sarah begins a journey through the void of loneliness and solidarity, trying to stay in the shadows of life, never staying in one place too long, giving up her past, the good, the horrors, the companionship of others, one year at a time. Then, one day…nope, not telling what happens, but The Fallen takes tension to a new level!
I admit I am a HUGE S. L. Ross fan! Her gift for creating the world she writes about is amazing! Her characters will become personal friends, flawed, sometimes irritating, sometimes confusing, sometimes endearingly sweet in a twisted way, but what happens to them happens to you! Talk about living in the moment, losing touch with reality! (Again, I must repeat to myself that this is only fiction, the product of a fruitful mind!) I could not read this and not run the gamut of emotions, or feel the pain and loss of Sarah’s years in her personal exile. Each book in this series is better than the last…and S. L. Ross raises the bar and successfully hurdles it each and every time!
I cannot thank S. L. Ross enough for giving me the opportunity to read and review The Fallen

Sarah is still on the mission to get her daughter back and destroy the Council. In her wake she leaves behind destruction, death, and mayhem. Her sole goal was getting her daughter back, but has that slips thru her fingers yet again? Sarah is surrounded by her friends, all willing to take on the council with her, die if it comes to that or survive and stand next to her victorious.
After the confrontation of the Council, Sarah is given an offer she can’t refuse. And so begins her new life, alone. For Sarah being alone is not something she is good at, but it’s a necessary evil in her eyes. She has lost to many people she loved. Alone is good. Alone is safe. Years pass for Sarah, like heart beats to a human. She has changed, for the better or not, I’m not sure. But she has changed and one person is not all that happy about it.
This book is fast paced, because there is so much action. I found myself holding my breath a one point!
I will note – I was not happy with what happened to Jeff. For me, I thought he deserved more, because he was such a big part of Sarah’s life for book 1. Yes he wasn’t @ much for book #2, but I still think he tried in his own way to protect her and keep her safe.
I wasn't as keen on this book as I was on the first two books in the series.
I felt like I couldn't connect with Sarah as much as I had done previously and so it took me much longer to read.
The last third of the book almost seemed rushed to me, with very little being written about what had happened in 40 years. I think that if more detail had been included and that had been made into a separate book then it might have felt a bit easier to read.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
