They murdered my sister and her husband in front of me, forcing an impossible choice with the lives of my nieces at stake. My family's enemies thought this would break me and ruin my power-hungry grandmother's plans for the future.
They only got that half right.
Too bad for them I'm used to being the family outcast. After everything I've endured, nothing--and no one--will ever break me.
Now I'm united with three of the world's strongest--and sexiest--Shadow Wolves, and St. Louis is our city to save. Those enemies are about to learn what I've tried to hide from the world, and even myself, for so long.
When it comes to magic, I am my grandmother's namesake--and now I'll use this Shadowed Radiance to bring my sister's killers to justice. Someone's about to break, all right--but it *won't* be me. Or the Shadow Wolves I'm growing to love...
Kasey Mackenzie lives with her husband and son in St. Louis, Missouri; home of the Gateway Arch, the baseball Cardinals, and the world’s greatest thin-crust pizza. Kasey was one of those students who always had her nose in a book—so no big surprise when she was voted “Teacher’s Pet” in her high school yearbook. Today, she is a voracious reader of fantasy, romance, suspense, and “soft” science fiction. She adores her German shepherd puppy, two cats, playing softball, and has recently taken up knitting. So far she can cast on, do the knit stitch, and cast off. Hey, it’s a start!
I am not overly fond of RH books, but there are certain authors I will read just about anything they write. This is one such author. I’m glad I did read this, too. While this is an RH book, there’s also plenty of mystery and suspense for those who like that, as well. I did struggle a little bit with understanding the world dynamics and am still a bit confused, but this was such a good book full of action, suspense, and romance that I enjoyed just about every second. This is a wild ride of a book with betrayal, love, family, and magic, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. Recommend.
