I’m Arwyn Cassandra Corey, the Sea Wicche of Monterey. Want a psychic reading? Sure. I can do that. In the market for art? I have all your painting, photography, glass blowing, and ceramic needs covered in my newly remodeled art gallery by the sea. Need help solving a grisly cold case? Unfortunately, I can probably help with that too.
After more than a decade of being nagged, guilted, and threatened, I’ve finally joined the Corey Council and am working with my mother and grandmother to hunt down a twisted sorcerer. We know who she is. Now we need to find and stop her before more are murdered.
The evil the sorcerer and her demon are doing is seeping into the community. Violent crimes have been increasing and as a result Detectives Hernández and Osso have brought me another horrifying case. I’ll do what I can, because of course I will. What are a few more nightmares to a woman who barely sleeps?
Declan Quinn, the wicked hot werewolf rebuilding my deck, is preparing for a dominance battle with the local Alpha. A couple of wolves have already left their pack to follow Declan, recognizing him as the true Alpha. Declan needs to watch his back as the full moon approaches. The current Alpha will do whatever it takes to hold on to power, including breaking pack law and enlisting the help of a local vampire.
And if Wilbur, my selkie friend is right, I might just be meeting my dad soon. Perhaps he’ll have some advice for this wicche hunt. I’m going to need all the help I can get.
Content Wicche The Sea Wicche Chronicles is a contemporary fantasy novel with suspense elements about a clairvoyant witch who, among other things, helps detectives hunt a killer. While there are light, funny, romantic moments, there are also dark ones that may be disturbing for some readers. Warning visions that include graphic or explicit violence, murder.

A very nice follow-up to the first book in this new and enjoyable series! Since Arwyn and Declan are already a solid couple, this story focuses on catching the evil sorcerer cousin, along with a great murder mystery that Arwyn must use her Cassandra powers to solve.
I love Arwyn and Declan together, although I would love to see a bit more of his storyline develop into a stronger secondary thread. As it stands it is a mere blip on the page from time to time. I do enjoy the murder mysteries that are tied up at the end of each book while the overall villain is still at large (That needs to be rectified by the next book, IMHO, she’s taken up enough page space by now).
The huge bonus in this installment is that Arwyn gets to meet her Dad!! AND… hopefully we’ll get to see more of him to come. A warning to y’all, though, this story has the WEIRDEST cut-off ending! It just suddenly stops, almost in the middle of a conversation! Now, luckily most things had been resolved (thank goodness) but it happened at about the 94% mark, as well. I was bobbing along, turned the page and…. Nothing. Huh? I turned back, re-read the conversation in progress, turned the page again and…. Nothing!! We get an excerpt from the next book! Super weird and frustrating.
Still… I look forward to continuing this easy and enjoyable saga. Man, I hate those year long waits!
Arwyn and her boyfriend, who is a werewolf named Declan Quinn, pay a visit to Sam Quinn in search of some answers before returning to their seaside home. Arwyn has finally joined Corey Council and is working with her mother and grandmother to hunt down an evil sorcerer. Evil is seeping into their small community and Detectives Hernández and Osso have sought her aid with some grizzly murders.
Arwyn is part wicche and part sea fae, which I find fascinating. She can communicate with sea creatures and prefers her artwork to her wicche abilities, but duty and an evil sorcerer who is controlling a demon pushes her to join forces with her mother and grandmother.
We learn more about Arwyn and her strained relationship with her mother, as they work to stop the sorcerer. She also works with local detectives to solve two murders and fends of danger, with Declan at her side.
Kelley has created an addictive storyline with intriguing characters. The story is fast-paced with moments of humor, romance and family delivered between intense scenes, grizzly murders and plenty of danger. Calliope, our villain, is mostly off page at this point as she stirs the pot and plots. I am anxious for a confrontation.
Samantha Diaz narrates and gives voice to these characters. She enhances the storyline and brings the characters to life. I highly recommend listening to the series. I am looking forward to Wicching Hour, the next audiobook in the series.
I actually liked book 2 more than book 1, plus my fave characters from the companion series made a brief appearance. Arwen is a Cassandra witch and can’t touch people or things without having visions, except Declan Quinn who happens to be Sam’s uncle. Arwyen is helping the detectives solve several murders, including that of her cousin, all while the family battles her evil sorceress cousin and the people she keeps sending after them. There’s a lot of progress in this book in terms of family, Arwyn finally has contact with her dad and Declan is fighting for control of the pack. While Sam Quinn series will remain my #1 from this author, the Sea Wichhe chronicles is improving and shaping up to be a nice addition to stand on its own.
The heroine is a wicche, artist and baker with a werewolf romantic interest, complex family issues and a serial killer to bring to justice with the police's help. I'm sad I've finished it, roll on book 3!
Another fun book in the series - and now we even get baby raccoons
There is finally a short and somewhat anticlimactic meeting, a few big resolutions with Declan, more of Otto and his appetite (he's hilarious), a tense scene with a coroner that was interesting with Hernandez being on her side, more sad victims, a scene with Sam and the gang in their bar and on the phone, answers on her strained relationship with mom -- it stayed intriguing, hard to put down, love the main couple bonding, Uncle Bracken is awkward but epic edition.
Wicche Hunt (I’m sorry but you know the spelling is stupid when autocorrect changes it every time you type it) is the second book in the Arwyn Corey contemporary fantasy series, about a part witch (sorry, wicche) part sea fae artist with psychic powers from Monterey, California and her werewolf love interest. It’s a spin-off from the Sam Quinn series and there’s crossover of characters so it would be helpful but not essential to be familiar with those books, but you definitely need to have read Bewicched, the first one, to know who’s who. This kind of urban fantasy (the term doesn’t quite fit - coastal fantasy?) is my guilty pleasure/reward for getting up to date with my other reading/reviewing commitments and I’m actually enjoying this one even more than the main series because they aren’t bogged down in vampire politics and the heroine is refreshingly competent and sensible.
Arwyn is nearly ready to open her eclectic art gallery and shop in the converted seaside cannery that Declan has been renovating for her. Unfortunately her evil aunt Calliope is still on the loose and targeting family members, so Arwyn finally agrees to join the Corey Council. Meanwhile Declan needs to sort out who’s in charge of his local pack once and for all. Then Dad decides to show up…
This was a highly readable romp, which nonetheless has some dark & violent moments. I liked the evolution of Arwyn’s complicated family dynamics as well as her fun interactions with the various creatures who are drawn to her - baby raccoons!! I hope we wrap up the Calliope storyline soon as the whole off-camera villain plot is getting dull. Looking forward to the next one.
First, I was lost. Because the book picks up right after book 1 and I had forgotten a bit on the world. That, together with again, featuring of Sam the cousin and her book characters, it took me a while to get into the story.
Then once I was in it, there was a lot of meandering. Meandering in we get bogged down in Arwyn getting her gallery/tea shop/studio/home ready, yet we have the school killer mystery, Calliope's mystery (btw I can now say I am not a fan of an extended villain, please let Calliope exit stage left by the end of book 3), Wicche council problems (the fact that they only help family, while already having 'classes' within her own family is also an issue), Declan wolf problems and Wilbur problems (btw we finished the story without knowing why Wilbur wasn't throwing back the ball consistently).
I loved Uncle Bracken. His book scene towards the end was such a delight. That, and each time Arwyn flicked a finger/muttered a spell and she defeated the given bad guy was such a delight.
Declan I now like as a partner to Arwyn. This book featured him more and also showed he can take care of himself/both of them. The smut wasn't fade to black/closed door but it also was more like a 2 out of 5. I just loved how they had each others back and when Declan told her off for getting physical with him.
The family drama. I loved that Arwyn+her mum started the healing. I wasn't such a fan of the perspective on Gran getting changed, but hu-boy do I understand it. I hated that her father had such little screen time in this book. I want to see more of her and him building a relationship and her also visiting "Atlantis".
Overall, this is the Urban Fantasy series that I'm currently into. Will definitely be picking up book 3 in 2025.
Awesome book! Really loved all the characters. Love how the author describes everything in detail like you are actually there. Never a dull moment, keeps you entertained until the very end. Can't wait for the next one in the series.
Arwyn and her Family (and the gallery and the hot werewolf!)
This Sea Wicche novel is a fun, easy read centering on a powerful, half-fae witch who is artistic, a whiz at baking, and can read objects and people through touch. A couple of small text-editing mistakes made me wince, but it’s still an entertaining, fanciful read. The novel, though featuring a strong female protagonist, is about family at its heart, the family we’re born into, and the family we choose. Yes, there’s plenty of suspense and hideous evil-doers and demonic mayhem, because Arwyn is a Cassandra, and can “read” past and present about things and people she touches. However, this novel also digs deep into the love (or lack thereof) that makes families stick together or fall apart. As we know from the first book in the Sea Wicche series, Arwyn has always viewed her mother as cold and hypercritical, believing she always falls short of her mother’s expectations, while she feels her grandmother loves her unconditionally and has her back, sometimes even showing solidarity against her own daughter’s critical demeanor. Events in this book reveal that Arwyn’s memories of her past are not as reliable as she had thought, and consequently there is a promise of healing. Her family life has always been fraught with tensions and jealousies. Her cousins, especially Calliope, made her life within the family circle a misery; even as children they targeted her because she was half-fae, and played nasty pranks. They showed no remorse, endangering her and making her feel vulnerable. Now the murderous Calliope is doing sorcery with a hell demon, bent on taking out her powerful relatives, Arwyn most especially. Calliope’s malfeasance is mirrored in a series of possibly-connected murder cases Detective Hernandez consults Arwyn about. A couple of psychotic, narcissistic evil doers are carrying out murders that right “wrongs” that they perceive were done to them. Arwyn uses her sea wicche abilities and gifts to help solve these murders, including the death of her cousin, Pearl, and building a new connection with Pearl’s grieving mother. Our heroine also meets a new-to-her eccentric uncle in this installment of the series as she readies her old-cannery-housed art gallery for its grand opening. She comes closer to clearing up the mystery of her paternal parent. Oh, and Declan? He is hot as ever and he’s here to stay, having settled in a property across the street from Arwyn’s gallery and having dealt with the local werewolf pack (not really a spoiler; we knew he would). So all in all, this installment of the Sea Wicche sees our intrepid heroine stress-bake lots of delicious pastries, meet assassination-type challenges, refine her understanding of her past, defeat some despicable bad guys, help the detectives, learn her octopus pal is going to be a dad, befriend a trio of baby raccoons, ….there’s a lot. Perhaps you’d best read it yourself. And hold that thought, because the next installment isn’t due for a whole year! I’ve pre-ordered it, naturally.
If you loved Bewicched, you’re in for another great ride with Wicche Hunt. Arwyn is just as sharp, stubborn, and overworked as ever—this time, with even bigger problems. She finally gave in and joined the Corey Council, meaning she’s now hunting down a dangerous sorcerer with her mom and grandmother. They know who she is, but finding and stopping her? Not so easy. Meanwhile, crime in the area is getting worse, and the detectives she’s worked with before have another gruesome case for her to look into.
What I love about this series is that while the stakes get higher, Arwyn stays the same at her core—determined, sarcastic, and doing the best she can with the hand she’s been dealt. She’s exhausted, barely sleeping, and dealing with way too much, but she keeps going. That’s why she’s so easy to root for.
Declan is still around (and still rebuilding her deck), but now he’s preparing to challenge the local Alpha. Some of the pack is already siding with him, but the current Alpha isn’t going down without a fight. And by fight, I mean breaking pack law and calling in a vampire to help. Just another thing for Arwyn to stress about. And if that wasn’t enough, her selkie friend Wilbur is convinced she’s about to meet her dad. Great timing, right?
This book has everything I loved about the first—funny, fast-paced, and packed with magic and mystery—but with a darker, more intense edge. The murder cases, the magic battles, and the tension all keep things moving, but the humor and character moments stop it from ever feeling too heavy. If the series keeps up like this, I’m all in for whatever comes next.

These book are a rollercoaster of emotion, in a good way. The larger storyline gets some nudges forward, but the character development is where it’s at. With such incremental progress, I wish the whole series was out so I could binge my way straight through. I’ll have to just keep chipping away at the author’s pace, though.
Arwyn and Declan are doing the new couple thing in this book. He’s decided to stay, for all the drama it will bring to his life, and Arwyn is supporting him as best she can while also trying to open up her gallery. Having just officially joined the Corey Council, she’s also got that on her plate. Oh, and her detective friends still want her help solving cases that may or may not be tied to the Corey big bad or her cousin’s murderer. So many loose ends!
This book does give us some resolution in the form of her cousin’s killer, but a few more people have to die before they connect all the dots, which means a hellish couple days for Arwyn. On the family front, there is progress made in the mother-daughter bonding arena, but still oodles further to go. I absolutely can’t wait to see the father-daughter-mother dynamics play out in future books! With all the new characters and crazy times, it’s no wonder that we just keep getting nudges forward on the big bad resolution, but I’m still hoping that gets shut down sooner rather than later.
I felt like this in the first book, but the more we read about the building in this one, I really want this place to be real and a place I can go to see it! From the tentacles hugging the building, the how the walls are painted, to the art and then the treats, all of it are things I really want to experience.
It's fun to read Arwyn getting the building ready and how people react, more so than the troubles she is experiencing from a family member and the work she does to help the police. Arwyn is able to keep ahead of the evil the family member is throwing her way, but just barely. It's great that the rest of the family is coming together to do what they can to defeat this horrible person. I really like the uncle in the RV, who is very weird in their own way, but also endearing.
The police work, hits a little too close with one of the victims, but Arwyn does what she can to help figure out the bad guys. When they are found, the reasons are so stupid!
I'm also glad that Arwyn got answers about her father and is able to see her relationship with her mother in a better light.
I love Arwyn and her increasingly large group of oddballs, misfits, and rejects. Every one of them is wonderful and valuable in their own way.
Both of the Sea Wicche Chronicles are really delightful. I actually put off reading this sequel because I worried that it wouldn’t meet the expectations set by the first. I was so wrong. I found myself doling it out like a really wonderful box of chocolates that couldn’t be replaced. You would think that books about a precog would be heavy with doom and foreshadowing, but while there are hints and snippets, Ms. Kelly has gifted Arwyn with the strength and grace to live her life (and we get to visit her) while focusing on those things that she truly cares about - including bubbly bits of joy and baby raccoons with (mostly) lovely manners.
On the lovely lush canvas of the Monterrey coast and an art gallery that I really wish existed, the unique and quirky characters work towards a goal that Arwyn gently corrals them all into seeing as common. I think the thing that I love most about the main character is her willingness to see people through their own eyes, rather than just in relation to her. Everyone grows and stretches, at least a little bit, and everyone is allowed to be flawed and still be treasured. I wish I could be her when I grow up.
Seana just keeps writing master pieces and writing magnificent stories that capture you right from page one. I have already read all of the Sam Quinn series and I just had to read more of Seana's books and thankfully this series is consistently crossing over with Sam's.
This book brings us to the Alpha challenge for Declan Quinn, who is Arwyn's boyfriend & partner. Book one saw the local wolves as untrained & aggressive, with the alpha being an arrogant prick that was so far up himself it was ridiculous. Arwyn had a vision that clearly stated the alpha was not going to play by the rules but Declan wanted to win fairly so that he could change the pack for the good, which means that Arwyn and her family could not come and help him. Arwyn was able to magically watch the challenge from her home and throw spells at the cheaters to help Declan but he one fairly and honorably and becoming the new Alpha of Monterey. So YAY!! Declan is okay and the new alpha. I cannot wait to see what he does with the pack and hopefully we get to see more good wolves.
Unfortunately for Arwyn, the family sorcerer Calliope & her demon were continually causing problems in this book. She trashed Arwyn's mothers shop, changed the wards on her grandmothers house so that she could enter and kill her, sent a crazy man to kill Arwyn and then at the end of the book, sent her pet demon to take Arwyn. All of it was thwarted thanks to Arwen and her crazy and awesome uncle Bracken. Bracken is Arwyn's grandmothers brother, but he is different. He is very peculiar and similar to Arwyn in her abilities, making it hard for him to cope with the outside world. He came to help Arwyn's mother and met Arwyn and the two bonded over their similar ways. He ended up moving his RV to Arwyn's property on the beach so they could be near each other. He was there when the demon came to take Arwyn. Arwyn was freaking and out and rightfully so, she had just called her dad for help using the earrings, when Bracken tricked the demon into allowing him close only to stab him with a demon blade and killing him! It was freaking AWESOME!! Bracken may be odd but he is now one of my favorite characters in the series and I hope we see more of him. So Calliope is going to be shitting a brick now that she lost her demon to Arwyn, so it will be interesting what tantrum she is going to throw now.
But one good thing came of the attack, Arwyn finally met her DAD!!! He is so not what I was expecting but I desperately want to know more and see him more. We only get a some scene with him at the end of the book, when he comes to save Arwyn from the demon, but by god he is awesome! I really, really, REALLY cannot wait to see more of him and since he will be coming to Arwyn's gallery opening, we will YAY!!!
This book also finally got us to see who Arwyn's mother really is and it was surprising. She is not cold or cruel or hates Arwyn or her father, that could not be farther from the truth. She absolutely adores and loves Arwyn and she has been completely in love with Arwyn's father from the moment they met all those years ago, but it was the horrible Corey wicche family again that stuck its nose in again and made her push him away, but she loves him still. Her mother while she does have some bad habits, it actually a good and powerful lady that I am really starting to like. Arwyn's grandmother though, can rot in hell. She is cruel, manipulative and back stabby. She may not be a sorcerer but she is cruel in her ways and I will NEVER like her and hope she dies at some point in the series. Arwyn is now on a mission to reunite her parents and get them back together because her dad loves her mother just as much as she loves him. I really hope they get their happily ever after, they bloody deserve it after what they have been through.
We got to see out favorite octopus Cecil again and he is gonna be a DAD!! I cannot wait for baby Cecil's. We got to see Herbert & Charlie again. We also got to see more fun from Wilbur and when he shifts into human form to talk to Arwyn on her fathers behalf and protect her. Arwyn admits that she considers Wilbur/Emrys her family now and loves him. But we also got introduced to three more animal characters that are just GORGEOUS! and I love them SO MUCH! They are three baby raccoon siblings that come daily for muffins and spend time with Arwyn, their names are Otis, Daisy & Jasper. They also protect Arwyn from the bad creepy guys & the demon. I just ADORE the animals in this series.
Arwyn works with the Detectives Osso & Hernandez again, finding and stopping two serial killers, one of which is the killer of Arwyn's cousin. The one that killed Arwyn's cousin tries to kidnap and kill Arwyn but her baby raccoons & magic stopped him. They got the baddies in the end and it was very satisfying.
Arwyn and Declan have become so much closer and have now become permanent partners in this book. They have not said the I love yous yet but I feel that it is coming. Especially since Arwyn's very protective dad has given his approval for the couple. It is lovely watching them together and I am really looking forward to seeing more of them together and hopefully they move in together soon because I want permanent Arwyn/Declan time lol
All in all, this was a remarkable book, that I loved from beginning to end. I am now having a major book hangover hehe. Seana has just blown me away with this series as well as Sam's books. The way Seana writes is so phenomenal it is truly like it is real & happening in real life. It's crazy how well this is written. Seana has become my favorite author of all time and I have all of her books in both paperback and ebook form. I have already pre-ordered her next two books and cannot wait for more. I HIGHLY recommend all of Seana's books, I cannot speak highly enough of her books and would gladly rate all of her books one hundred stars if I could.
I cannot wait for the next adventure of Arwyn's & Sam's.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I really enjoyed this series which I would call pure urban fantasy with some suspense and a lot of humour. It is a really slow burn on the romance front, as they are still at the suitor/flirting stage halfway through Wichhe Hunt. Arwen is a Sea Wicche and a psychic, so there is a bit of police procedure mystery in each book. There is also a big baddie that carries over from book to book, so I look forward to seeing how that plays out.
What I found the most endearing about the FMC, were her interactions with various wild animals and her late night baking addiction. Love how she talks to and names her animal friends. We also see cameos of Characters from the Sam Quinn stories (if you’ve read Seana’s other great series). These books are perfect if you like the Charlie Davidson series by Darynda Jones or the Cupcakes and Trinkets series by Meghan Ciana Dodge.
I would only give it about a 1.5 for spice as they don’t have sex until halfway through the this book. Once they do, there is little description and the sex scenes are quite short. It’s nice and sweet from a romance perspective but not super spicy.
Check Trigger Warnings as there is a variety of Violence and threatening behaviour both in visions and happening to the FMC and/or MMC
Witch Hunt by Seana Kelly – Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Solid 4 Stars)
I loved this book. No surprise there, because Seana Kelly continues to deliver characters I can’t get enough of. Sam is everything I want in a heroine—clever, strong, funny, and just the right amount of chaos. Her voice is refreshingly witty without trying too hard, and honestly, I would follow her into any supernatural mess, magical battle, or cursed bakery.
And the wolf? Chef’s kiss. He’s the kind of loyal, protective, emotionally intelligent beast I absolutely live for. Their bond gives me all the warm fuzzies and a satisfying depth that grounds the magical mayhem with heart.
There’s action, there’s romance, there’s magical snark—and all of it hits just right. I’m only mad that the series isn't longer, because this world? I want to move in and redecorate with enchanted furniture and sarcasm.
Witch Hunt is the literary equivalent of comfort food for the magically inclined. I’ll take seconds, please.
These books are so good! Every character is crafted perfectly and without giving too much away I can honestly say that they feel like people you want to know. The addition of her uncle not to mention the raccoons was fabulous and I can't wait to see where we go with them. The tension between mother, grandmother and daughter is an arc I'm excited to see her explore and I'm so excited but I can't say why but meeting somebody even if it was just for a split second was awesome and I hope he's in future books. I honestly don't know which series is better this one or the slaughtered lamb series but both of them are now on my instant purchase no questions asked list because they are just that good. I hope for many many more of these books in both of the series and the only downside is having to wait in between them even though the wait is totally worth it.
I adored this second book in the series! And it was nice to get the Sam/Clive/Dave cameos. I just can’t get enough of this universe!
In this book Arwyn has agreed to join her mother and grandmother on the Wicche Council and it’s a good thing as cousin Calliope and her demon friend are causing all manner of problems. In addition to that Arwyn has a series of murders to consult on with Hernandez and Osso. On the personal front, Arwyn and Declan’s relationship progresses, Declan prepares for the coming alpha challenge, and Arwyn make some new friends and meets a helpful, previously unknown relative.
The murder case is suspenseful and the family sorcerer problem is intense. The action keeps coming which had me not wanting to put the book down. The ending is great with some fun surprises. I cannot wait for book three!
Arwyn Cassandra Corey, the Sea Wicche of Monterey, is a clairvoyant, hence the Cassandra part of her name.
She's just joined the Corey Council of Witches, and one of the first things on their agenda is find her cousin, Calliope, who is a Sorcerer and trying to kill as many Corey witches as possible.
Then there is Declan, her werewolf alpha boyfriend, who needs to deal with the local pack.
Not to mention the Police Detectives who don't know they are after 2 psychopaths who have been killing for 10 or so years. Until Arwyn tells them.
Arwyn is at the centre of all the plots, as her visions keep giving everyone clues about their problems. Unfortunately that doesn't leave much space for Arwyn to finish her Art Gallery before the grand opening.
Lots of action, lots of family, lots of visions, lots of murders, lots of baking, and a missing dad who turns up when called.
I am loving absolutely everything about this series and am already looking forward to the publication of the next book in this series.
There aren't many authors out there who manage to right books that don't annoy me AT ALL. There's always.... something. Not with this author though. Great characters including side characters (who all have an actual character that defines them), great story, amusing dialogue, endearing animals, and - I feel like this is important to note - while there are sex scenes in this book, they feel neither pornographic nor unrealistic (to me) AND the storyline does NOT revolve around sex. Thank you so much for that!
Seana Kelly can not write fast enough for me! This second book in The Sea Wicche Chronicles kept me occupied and oblivious to the world around me. She gains new family, both blood- and found-, both human(ish) and creature. Arwyn is once again helping solve crimes and working to find and stop the damage being done from evil within her born family. Unexpected reframing of relationships as well as support from all kinds of family are prevalent throughout, and new light shines on old and damaging habits that can be changed. Plus the amazing romance with Arwyn's sizzling hot and absolutely reliable werewolf Declan can not be missed!!
Seana Kelly's books are just great fun. This one progresses the overarching story nicely, giving us more insight into Arwyn's relationships with her mother and grandmother, including memories/flashbacks to events from her childhood. Sam Quinn (from her other series) makes a couple of appearances as well, keeping these two series nicely, if lightly, intertwined. And, of course, we get mysteries to solve in this book, a couple of delightful new characters, and more delicious baked goods. Yummy.
I always feel like I've come home when I return to this world of Sam and Clive. I rarely remember so much about the characters and world building of a series, even when I like them a lot, but SK is just so darn good, they stay stuck in my brain... Such a wild and wonderful world!! 🤩 It was so nice to see Sam, Dave and Clive play such a significant secondary role. As always, excellent writing, fascinating world building, engrossing story arc and absolutely wonderful characters. Complex and intelligent. Who could ask for anything more?!?
It took me ages to pick up the first of the Sea Wicche chronicles as I was so connected to Sam's story that I couldn't quite get my head around Arwyn as an idea. Yet now I'm two books in I'd so far to say that Arwyn and Declan have overtaken Sam and Clive and they are now my favourites! Their connection crackles off the page and Arwyn's backstory has all the right amount of emotion and intrigue to keep me pinned to the page and thinking about them when I am not reading. The story and world are compelling and I loved every second of this. This author gets better with every book.
