Little Miss Quick does everything as quickly as possible! Unfortunately, "quickly" also usually means means "carelessly." And when she tries to help her friends but messes up everything instead, she finds herself in a lot of trouble!
Roger Hargreaves was a British cartoonist, illustrator and writer of children's books. He created the Mr. Men series, Little Miss series and Timbuctoo series, intended for young readers. The simple and humorous stories, with bold, brightly coloured illustrations, have sales of more than 85 million copies worldwide in 20 languages.
I know this is a girl, but this is so much like my nephew. He is always in a hurry and does everything quickly and carelessly and doesn’t slow down. It’s amazing to watch him and he will not get it in his head he has to be slow and careful. He is like a bull in a China shop. My mom said that to my brother growing up all the time, so he comes by it honestly. My brother also took care of his things and didn’t try and destroy them, unlike the nephew.
Little Miss Quick wants to help, but her carelessness only breaks things and makes people angry. She even goes to the zoo and sets some lions loose on accident.
The nephew is not a fan of the Little Miss series. He recognized Mr. Strong when he showed up, but that’s all. He gave this 2 stars. Well, I’m determined to finish this series with him, even if he gives them all 1 star. His aunt can be stubborn too about books.
Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are!
These books made up so much of my childhood. No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up. I worked my way through them all a couple of times. Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read.
Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful.
Does Hargreaves tell us stories with a lesson or just wacky tales? Is little miss Quick telling us slow and careful wins the race or just a bonkers story about someone who goes as fast as they can and gets it all wrong. Anyway, a fun read whatever way you decide! Little Miss #20
I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.
Well it's Roger Hargreaves and you must love him. it's soo childish and gives loads of good memories to me. And I find little miss quick really cute :D
It's nice to do things as fast and quick as possible but also we have to be careful and make sure we are doing it a good way, don't you think little miss?
I am reading this little book less quickly than usual and with more care. I am just a little surprised when she does not quickly apologize for all her careless deeds.
that aside, the plot felt kinda... bland and repetitive but seeing little miss quick zoom zoom vroom vroom through everything was so chaotic but also kinda fun
Little miss quick is quick but she doesn’t wait because in the book she went quick to the fireman to get in the fire truck which you might read and mr busy helped the firemen get a lift.
