Another Man's Wife

Rate this book
After the real estate market crash, Rebecca’s money has run out—and so has her husband, leaving her alone with their son and a mountain of debt. She moves in with her sister while trying to dig herself out. When a handsome neighbor rescues her from a torrential downpour, she finds herself the object of an attraction too powerful to resist.

Jack is an aspiring writer who has a way with words and a way of making Rebecca moan his name. Each love letter he leaves Rebecca enchants her, each afternoon they spend making love draws her deeper into a relationship she can’t define. But with all her son has been through and a husband who’s missing in action, Rebecca may never be able to give in fully to her passion and desire for Jack, to think of herself as anything other than another man’s wife.

Prior to becoming a writer of romantic and erotic fiction, Cindy went to college at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and graduated with a BFA in Art. After a brief attempt at an art career, she decided the 'starving artist' life wasn't for her. She worked for ten years in the corporate arena, but now spends her days as a full time author.

Her first published work was inspired by a collection of short stories she wrote to entertain her best friend. Since then she's explored her inner bad girl, producing books full of humor and packed with real emotion. As CJ Elliott she also writes wicked paranormal romance.

When not chained to her laptop, she enjoys belly dancing, international cooking, and making jewelry. She and her family make their home in the Washington, DC area.

The characters of Rebecca and Jack were so different, not only in sexual ways but in ways of being, that seeing these two come together was like watching a chemical explosion happen. Not only was each encounter between these two scorching hot, it was also tear jerkily sweet. The letters that Jack sends to Rebecca throughout this book were so gut wrenchingly real that it made me want letters like those. More than once the array of emotions that this book conveyed was enough to stop my reading it was so good. The cover on this book does not begin to do this one justice, my only complaint is that I wish the story was longer, that way I could have enjoyed these characters more.

WOW! That word can barely sum up this story. Cindy Jacks has made me a lifer of her works with this piece. Her writing was so gracefully written that I couldn’t help but be drawn in. Not only where her characters amazingly written they were so realistic in their struggles that I actually cried at points (and I never cry when I read). The final 20 pages or so of this book threw me through such a loop that I couldn’t help but fall in love with both Jack and Rebecca. If you are looking for a great story that is bound to tug at your heart strings than this is one that you definitely need to pick up. The sex is hot, but still realistic, and the love story behind it all will draw in even the biggest skeptic.
