Roger Hargreaves was a British cartoonist, illustrator and writer of children's books. He created the Mr. Men series, Little Miss series and Timbuctoo series, intended for young readers. A wonderful collection of short stories. Each story depicts a character with a particular characteristic. Ideal for end of the day reading or can be used during the teaching of writing short stories. A really good resource to introduce children to reading and with the wide variety of characters, they are appealing to everyone. Additionally, each story begins with a description of the setting (the character's house) therefore could be a useful resource to use when writing about the setting of a story.
