A pirate novel like no other. Full of sex and violence. The action never flags. Shirreffs was very good at historical novels. A shame he did not write more of them.

Ahoy, mates! Are you ready for a thrilling voyage on the high seas?

Then join me as I review another masterpiece by Gordon D. Shirreffs, the master of swashbuckling tales. 'Captain Cutlass' is the story of a fearless pirate who commands his crew with skill and courage. He plunders ships and ports, but he also has a heart of gold. He falls in love with a beautiful lady, or at least he thinks he does, but he faces many dangers and enemies along the way. Will he survive and win her hand, or will he have to walk away? You'll have to read the book to find out! The author gives us a tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat with action, romance, and humor. Gordon D. Shirreffs has done it again, creating a vivid and realistic world of pirates and adventure. If you love stories of brave and bold men of the sea, you'll love 'Captain Cutlass.' Don't miss this epic adventure, mates!

This is not my usual genre but O read it anyway. I am sure glad I did. It has lots of action, suspense, and some romance. It was really interesting and hard for me to put down. Just when you see the light at the end of the tunnel you find out it is on the front of a train. Captain Cutlass was a gentleman pirate. He went by the code and expected others to follow it also. He was a great one to figure how to accomplish what others thought was impossible. I do highly recommend this book even if you think it is out of the scope of your normal reading, you will enjoy it.

This was one of the first romance novels I ever read. It is still my favorite.
