When an angel notices that there is still goodness in the soul of a man working for Lucifer, what is she supposed to do? Brea makes the decision to bring Boden Ashfield in and give him the chance to switch sides from evil to good.
Boden bartered his soul to help his family who were starving and dying. He agreed to become Lucifer’s right hand man and participate in some evil deeds in order to bring about Lucifer’s plan to take over the world. But when Brea (from the Fallen, 1) sees a goodness in him, she arranges for him to learn about the ways of the reapers. Brea’s friend, Anna is given the task of guardian and trainer. She also was scarred growing up and bears the stain on her soul. But when Boden and Anna come together, the sex is combustible. Together they learn to trust again and form a new relationship together.
When Lucifer hatches his big plan, Boden has to go undercover in Lucifer’s home in order to rescue an important prophet but will he be able to play the part of evil creature now that he’s found love with Anna?
Wicked Temptations is the second book in the Fallen series. It was nice to see characters from the first book like Brea, Nox, and AZ but even without reading the first book, Wicked Temptations is a fun read. Knowing that heaven and hell have been fighting for centuries isn’t news to anyone but Wicked Temptations takes the story of Lucifer and God to a different level where angels and reapers work to save the human race, rather than just letting them make their own choices.
The characters in Wicked Temptations sizzle with passion as Anna and Boden can’t keep their hands off each other. They begin with only wanting sex to falling in love. I enjoyed how the story ended with a perfect beginning for the next story. As each book comes out the story of the reapers continues to grow and teach the reader about the importance of making good choices in life for the right reasons. Wicked Temptations also makes it very clear that we are never alone and that we can always be redeemed. Keep that in mind the next time you make a horrible moral choice!
