This third installment in Charity Becker's Presence series continues to impress. A tad shorter than the previous two books, Smoke and Fire nonetheless delievers the same punch as the others. It was nice to see the new twists and turns worked into the Presence world and Mina's own character, as they traveled unexpected pathways and continued to lay a solid groundwork for a lengthy and enjoyable series.

I eagerly await the next chapter of Mina Jewel's life.

Ok, so I didn't care for this one as much as the first two books. I found it slightly depressing. I still liked the book, but I just couldn't find myself getting lost in this one. I hope the next one is a bit less with the heavy.

I couldn't put it down! I was enthralled with the writing and loved how Charity pushed the wall on this universe!
