Isaka is secretly in love with his caretaker and former childhood friend Asahina. However, Asahina seems to be obsessed with Isaka's father... or so it seems.
NOTE: This story is tied into Junjou Romantica, involving Akihiko's editor and his secretary, ten years before the beginning of the original Junjou Romantica plot line.
Shungiku Nakamura (中村春菊 Nakamura Shungiku?, born December 13,1980) is a Japanese yaoi manga artist. She is most famous for creating Junjo Romantica: Pure Romance. Shungiku Nakamura's distinct style of manga has been identified largely throughout Japanese and English yaoi fanbases. Her works usually include large age gaps between the seme and uke and characters with careers in the publishing industry (as depicted in Junjo Romantica and Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi). She often cowrites with Fujisaki Miyako, who authored the novels of Yoshino Chiaki no baai in Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi.
Works: Junjo Romantica: Pure Romance (2002 - Ongoing) "Junjou Mistake" (2008) Hybrid Child (2003 - 2004) Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi (2007 - Ongoing) "√W.P.B." (2004) "Touzandou Tentsui Ibun" (1998 - 1999) "Mangetsu Monogatari" "Tsuki wa Yamiyo ni Kakuru ga Gotoku" (1999) "Picturesque of a Mask" (art only) "Umi ni Nemuru Hana"
I had just finished rewatching junjou and sekaiichi for the 10th time so I just had to read this. I am even thinking about reading again everything lmao.
It is essentially a volume about Isaka San and Asahina alongside the other couples. This volume deals mainly with the Childhood Memories of Isaka San and Asahina San, Usagi San and Hiroki San and how it affects their current life. Some of the chapters were adapted into the Anime series but some were not so if you want something more about the past of these characters then definitely read it.
I enjoyed this short story. the book follows the story off of junjou romantica from akihiko usami' s brother's friend (wow what a mouthful! I could of just said Usagi's chief editor...) It is set before the main story junjou romantica but it comes at the end of junjou romantica. When I realised who Isaka was after reading this story, I was very surprised. Up until the point where I read this story, I previously had only watched Junjou Romantica where Isaka is an audaciously bold, valiant and astute macho man who can easily trick people into doing things to benefit him and his image. Unfortunetly, that doesn't seem to be the case here in this story. All of those things do not fit my description of a uke. Even in this story he looks different; maybe it's just age.
Not as awesome as Junjou Romantica, but I like it anyway because Nakamura Shungiku is one of my favorite authors and... Seriously, she's amazing <3 I like Isaka-san better when he's teasing Usagi-san, btw. Their friendship is awesome xD
