This has just become my favorite short in the entire series. I LOVE this scenario. In the continuation of the love story between Amy and Troy, Her Gift is a real treasure. Troy is getting ready to leave for his new job in India, just when he and Amy have finally come together at last. Putting on a brave face, Amy arranges a special night just for Troy, a night of tender firsts, something for them both to remember in the long months of separation ahead.
Did I mention I loved this story? I know I’ve said this before, but Red Phoenix does sensual and seduction extremely well. The interaction between Amy and Troy is heart-wrenching and tender, just the way first times ought to be...without that awkward ‘you’re on my hair’ moment.

I thought this was a really well done story. It was sweet and romantic in nature and hot-n-horney in execution.
I must admit that when it came time to review, I couldn't help but think less of it once reading the blurb for the follow-up (I know it's not fair to review poorly on this book because of a sequel but bear with me). After all this heartwarming and gut wrenching emotion and a HEA, the sequel ends up with the heroin falling for another guy!!!! WTF?
But until then, this short story is reall well written and engaging. I'll be making sure to steer clear of the sequel (And any others in the series with this hero and heroine) so as to keep the memory of this story a positive one.

Troy gets the gift of a lifetime from Amy when she decides to give him the gift of her ass. They have a nice romantic interlude in this one night as it will be the last before Troy leaves the country for his new job. They have a strawberry and cream fest on each other as well as a sexy shower scene. Everything makes you hot and bothered to no ends. Can’t wait to read the next chapter in their story.

This makes me so sad...I hope they find their way back to each other...Maybe I'm just a sappy romantic, but I really want their HEA! Still no background story to speak of...What makes them tick? What were they like when she was with Sam? What were they thinking? And, WHERE is Sam??? Maybe more will be revealed in the next few books.

It was a nice steamy short read.....my only complaint is that I found Amy to be incredibly annoying and spent alot of the story wishing she would just shut the hell up....I think it was supposed to be cute but it was just annoying

Well, Amy annoys again. All virginal in her white angelic dress and thong, hahahah. I guess I should be glad she is still with Troy Dawson.
But this still turned out to be a steamy little quickie.

It's actually a bit sad and bittersweet. Really liked the story, but it's a shame the characters took so long to realize they wanted each other. At least they finally got together.
