A collection of the greatest quotes about life, love and spirituality from varied sources such as Mother Teresa, Buddha, Gandhi, Lao Tzu, Osho and many others. The book has two main sections with the first having the quotes divided by their topic such as Love, Happiness, Anger, etc. The second part of the book has specific quotes from Buddha, Gandhi, Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, Lao Tzu and Zen Quotations.
I'd read most of them before elsewhere, but some were new. The chapter on women was some of the most sexist bullstuff I've read in a while. It was only a few quotes by two people but still. It's always disappointing when you're seeking some kind of comfort/enlightenment/understanding and you read something that sounds a little prettier but is basically the same crap you could read in Maxim. "Women are weak. Women are passive. Women are followers. Women are helpmates. Blah, blah, blah." If women had been allowed access to pen, paper, and education earlier, we'd have a lot more TRULY wise quotes to read about women and ALL people. As it is, we're stuck reading ridiculous stuff by men who are supposed to be spiritually and intellectually enlightened but are clearly just the same as your average Joe Plumber when it comes to what they know about women. Ugh.
