DNF’d after around 20 pages - despite the writing seeming to be quite simple and straightforward, it was nevertheless confusing and disjointed. The backgrounds are beautiful, but I think that making the character linework sharper and less sketchy would have tied everything better visually.

Actually 2.5 stars.

I went back and forth on whether I would round up (for the art) or round down (much closer to my feelings overall) and settled with rounding down. While I *was* captivated by the art, the story just missed it's mark in so many places that I can't give it an above average rating.

I didn't like the main character at all.

I was going to say I never understood who Kabiyo was or why he was hanging around, but to be honest the whole things was a confusing mess. Things just kept happening but nothing was given enough grounding and connection to us for me to ever really care about any of it.

Literally, the only thing I have any feelings AT ALL about is that I really dislike the Big Bad.

And then it ended on a cliffhanger, with no wrap up at all. Nothing is made less confusing or explained. There's no emotional tie up. Just. Oh... I guess we fell off a cliff... oh well.

It's a shame because the art was cool. But if you want a story that's trying to do, basically exactly what this one set out to do, but executes it almost flawlessly may I recommend you try Lightfall by Porbert.

I liked the art style a lot, and while the story was alright, it got a bit confusing / messy at times.
I also thought this was a standalone, but apparently it’s part of a series, so there’s a bit of a cliffhanger.

As soon as an annoying blue Pikachu turned up I knew this comic would be impossible to read as an adult. Unfortunately that happened on the second page. So I have no idea if this is any good or not, but the bickering and chuntering style of what passes as dialogue early on gave me no hope.

Miyazaki meets the more serious side of Adventure Time in this first volume of a French graphic novel series. The art is beautiful, but would have benefited from the larger trim size that books like Hilda use.

Two stars because the art work is beautiful, but the story itself is messy and confusing. Things just happen out of the blue with no explanation and there doesn't seem to be a point in it all.
