"The Mayan Oracle: Return Path to the Stars" is is my go-to deck in the land of Tarot. I am always touched by the reads presented. They are uplifting with gentle and powerful reminders to stay awake, focused and aware.
This timeless piece of work by Ariel Spilsbury has added profound value to my Tarot shelf. I own the original book and the updated version and even take it with me when traveling, pulling a card a day to stay mindful and ever conscious of the expansion of consciousness in my life. While I have read all the pages, The Mayan Oracle can be seen as an eternal guide for finding out what energies need to be personally dealt with or revisited.
As a receiver of evolutionary messages from the Universe, it is easy to see that this book wasn't written by human ideas alone. There is a wonderful touch of cosmic design on its pages. The format allows you to approach self-work according to your own personal needs, whether associations, scents, elements or directions. There is suggested guidance and each major Mayan symbol card offers poetic speak which can reach into the subtle consciousness if one allows. The majors also include a body mundra which I find especially useful. For me, the action of using the body to link with a card's message has a similar power as an NLP action of grounding the wisdom into the body as well as calling to the energies of the card with body symbolism.
This is not a fortune telling deck. It is a consciousness telling deck, able to move the heart with its Language of Light in-between its lines.

Was gifted this over Christmas - the early version. Cards are flimsy, artwork simple but the glyphs are quite evocative. The accompanying book is very thorough, especially around the glyph cards. It's been a great deck to use, with lots to think about. I had wanted a deck that would take me to the next level of my spiritual growth and this one has fit that need nicely.

I took a dive with this book and cards years ago. It was the first one of its kind that I picked up in Atlanta, at Crystal Blue that gave me insight into myself and paved the way for others in the various ranges I have knowledge of today. To this day this has been the most challenging text to make understanding of and the interpretations that I have gotten from it. Just as the key statement in the book expresses "This oracle is not intended as a fortune-telling device. It does not try to predict what will happen in the future or what course of action you should take to solve a particular problem; rather, it is designed to help you grow spiritually and to form a sacred relationship with your Essence Self, the part of you that is in direct connection with the Creator. It is designed to help you become more spontaneous, open, playful, loving, and trusting-not sometime in the distant future but now in the present moment." Like who really can think up something like that and leave you on a deep train of thought. To its credit though...I can say mission accomplished!

This is one of my all-time favorites for looking at ourselves as star children and finding our way home. I highly recommend using it daily for personal insights and spiritual growth.
