theme- science, planes, ships, mysterious disappearance
I loved this book! I thought it was so good and full of amazing facts (flight 19 disappearance, and other ships and planes that have disappeared), but the Bermuda Triangle is still he said, she said, so it is fiction. I would use this in my classroom to share facts about different disappearances, and allow students to come up with their own hypotheses.
I loved that this book has "Famous Disappearances" written at the end, it really made the Bermuda Triangle come to life, and gives children a reason to think (where could it have gone?!!).

This title is one of the "Unexplained Mysteries" series. Simple text and numerous illustrations explain the fascination of the Bermuda Triangle for intermediate and reluctant readers. This brief book describes the phenomenon and lists some of the more famous disappearances associated with it and purported theories associated with the area. The format and fonts will engage readers and fact boxes are scattered throughout. Back matter includes a glossary, publisher’s website and index. The title will be popular, especially with boys, special populations, and ELLs, even though it does not address what most readers are seeking: a definitive answer about the Bermuda Triangle.
