Lynn Goldsmith is an American recording artist, a film director and a celebrity portrait photographer. Her work has appeared on the covers and inside almost any important publication in every country for the past 35 years. She has done over 100 album covers. In addition to her editorial work, Goldsmith has also focused on fine art photography with conceptual images.

Great book of candid and performance photographs from probably the greatest rock tour of all time - Springsteen's 1978 Darkness on the Edge of Town.

I've seen a lot of these photos but many I had not. My favorites aren't the performance photos but the band members backstage or out in public. It shows a group of musicians who are carving their place in the world.

I only gave this one 4 stars because I didn't think some the pictures did him justice. The author, Lynn Goldsmith, was Bruce's girlfriend at the time so you'd think she would've taken better pictures of him.
