This is a great collection of short-stories , of variations of Time Travel / parodoxes. Some are hidden gems, written by little known authors or established writers during their early careers.
Air Raid, by John Varley is quite brilliant ... a chilling and dystopian future of a dying human race, going to morally questionable lengths to save the future of our species.
The stories are mostly creative and original, but vary in quality. I most liked: ࠰ Utley, Steven - Time and Hagakure (1977) ࠰ Sullivan, Tim - The Comedian (1982) ࠰ Silverberg, Robert - Sailing to Byzantium (1985) ࠰ Antieau, Kim - Hauntings (1985)
An anthology of 11 time travel related short stories, all but one written by men (a sign of the times or a bias of the editor or maybe both). All of these originally appeared in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine between 1977 and 1986. The ones that most short story readers will have probably come across are 'Air Raid' by John Varley and 'Sailing to Byzantium' by Robert Silverberg (the latter winning the Nebula in 1986).
