This book is a collection of team building activities. I bought it for ideas on how to encourage teamwork and cooperation among the young ladies on the middle school girls softball team I am coaching [middle school girls = LOTS of drama]. This book is written for "every" coach, but clearly it is intended for college level (or equivalent) teams. However, as a coach of 10-13 year olds with access to school sports equipment but no real budget, there are PLENTY of activities included in this book that I look forward to using with the team this year. Many of the activities are new to me, which is one thing I was worried about - am I paying $30 for a whole bunch of activities I already know or can find easily online? I do think purchasing this book was worth it. These activities were collected (not all were written by the authors) so there were a few times where multiple activities were really the same activity with a different name or a slight tweak. In terms of the team I'm coaching, I'd say this book should be called "55 team building activities". But, that's fine with me.

Other things I liked: each activity is broken down into sections including what supplies you will need as well as safety guidelines/suggestions. And, my favorite part, each activity includes a few follow up discussion questions to help the team members process the activity they did and connect it to their sport/team.
