Cheating Hearts #1

Weekend Pass

He gave me permission to sleep with another man.

When I discover my husband has cheated—again—I decide to leave him. To save our marriage, he gives me a weekend pass to sleep with anyone I want to. I’m shocked and have no intention of sleeping with another man, but I go to a hotel to get away from him and think. That’s when I run into his friend and business partner, Brent Rossi.

Brent is sexy and handsome and a little older. I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve secretly fantasized about him for years. When I tell him about my husband’s infidelity, I’m shocked again.

Brent offers to help me settle the score.

I am not one to typically endorse adultery but GOTDAMN if I wasn’t here for this one.

I think all dickhead husbands should have a friend like Brent….just in case.

If you’re looking for a quick, light angst, dirty read. This is the one!

4.00 Stars. (BW/ 2 WM). Kindle Unlimited Edition 124 page novella e-book.

Setting: Current day. Newbury and Chicago Illinois.

Trope: Cheating. Husband's best friend and business partner. 13 year age gap.

Main characters:
1. Brent Rossi, 45-year-old hero, family friend and partner/co-owner of Rossi & Anderson Engineering Corp.
2. Belinda Anderson, 32-year-old heroine, owner of Belinda's Bakery and housewife.
3. Roger Anderson, heroine's husband and best friend and partner to hero.

The story is well written and the characters are well flushed out despite the abrupt ending. I didn't read the name of the series, Cheating Hearts, or I may have passed on this book. Roger is a habitual cheater and Belinda seemingly has been accepting of this flaw. This story starts with Roger's get out of jail free ploy, giving Belinda the chance to get even and hook-up with another man for a week-end. (Roger didn't expect Belinda, true-blue-Oddy-Kolody, actually have a one nighter with a stranger-and she didn't. Belinda and Brent have secretly been crushing on each other for years while each thought the other felt the attraction, neither acted on it until they accidentally saw each other during Belinda's week-end get-away. After this first twist, they started seeing each other regularly. They fell in love. After a physical altercation between Brent and Roger, Brent bought Roger out of their business and Brent and Belinda married and started a family. HEA.

I’ll be reading this over

This brought back memories, Belinda ex Roger trying to force his self on her after she stop sleeping with him, this really took me back. I separated from my husband a year before we divorced, he would wait until I was sleep then come into my room. He would get off by laying on top of me, unfortunately I’m a heavy sleeper, when I caught him doing that to me one day. Then I started locking my door at night, that made approach me during the daytime. I started waking up to the slightest noise, and even when my children would come in my room I would jump up or sometimes silently freak out. I became a mess over this.
I really enjoyed this because Belinda did not let Roger keep the power that he had over her and she had Brent to help her quickly get her power back. It took me 8 yrs to get my power & voice back, (I stop speaking up for myself) counseling help.
This is a great read, clicking on the next story in this series.

Two Wrongs😁

Belinda is a great wife married to a cheater. She forgave him the first time but can she look the other way when he cheats the second time? Or is it the fifth? Tenth? Brent has loved Belinda since the moment he met her. Too bad she is married to his friend and business partner. When Belinda is given a pass to cheat she cashes it in on Brent but can they walk away when the weekend is over? I really enjoyed this story and my only question was why didn’t Belinda leave her cheating husband sooner?

I love this book. I love how Belinda wants to believe in her husband Roger that he stopped cheating until she finds his secret phone in the bathroom, and he comes clean and tells her he will give her a weekend pass to cheat but it has to be with one man not two. But then walks in Brent her husband partner and friend and let her know when she asked this was not her husband second time of cheating. Brent and Belinda realize they have true feelings for each other, and she want to tell roger it over. 5 Stars

SHORT BUT SO SATISFYING!

This was my first time reading anything by this author and it won’t be the last!
Belinda’s marriage to Roger was extremely strained mostly because of his affairs. After finding inappropriate pics on his second phone, he begged her to forgive him and gave her “permission” to have a weekend pass with another man.
The other man turned out to be Brent, his friend and partner. I highly recommend this book to anyone who’s curious about how this love triangle will work out!

Man this story right here is ….

I will say I don’t condone cheating but this book was the right kind of book for me to read. I’m glad I came across this one because it was very good so good that I wanted it to be longer. Belinda and Brent are made for each other. Sometimes you do meet the right person at the wrong time and these two were amazing. I enjoyed everything I do. Hope there’s more to come in the future.

Weekend pass!

Even though I don’t believe or condone infidelity, I understand the choices that Belinda, (unknowingly married to a serial cheater, Roger) who thought her husband had only cheated twice used her weekend pass to start a relationship with her husband’s friend and business partner, Brent. They acknowledged that they were both attracted to each other from the time they first met but never acted on it until that weekend.

Weekend Pass to forever?

Roger and Belinda have been married for a few years, but that doesn’t stop Roger from dipping in other women’s honey. Then, there’s Brent. Tall, dark and sexy Italian Brent who is loyal and just wants to show Belinda that she deserves happiness and faithfulness.

While this was a short read, I quite enjoyed it. There were a few moments I felt needed better development, but the overall story was good.

Really good short cheating story. I usually prefer the H grovel and end up back with the h, but I was ok with the h ending up with a new H in this one. The new H is the original H's best friend and business partner, but he's older and the absolute nicest, hottest guy. And the original H is a raging douche bag, he's only been caught twice but he's been cheating through their entire marriage. So sleazy, he got what he deserved.

Quick fix…..for die hard romantics

Great book, great beginning all the way up until the end. I am fascinated at the characters personalities and wish men like that really existed! Still holding out hope as a person who loves the thought and ideology of a happily ever after and finding your soulmate…..

Good Read

I really enjoyed this book, and the characters were very entertaining. I loved the chemistry between Brent and Belinda it was smoking hot 🔥 and very intense. Rodger was a tipi man he felt it was OK to cheat, and I am sorry was the magical phrase that erased all wrong. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers. You will not be disappointed.

It's real life

Cheating is a hard stop for me. It was clear that she married the wrong man but was honoring her vows and commitment. He lost all chances of sympathy with his 2 crazy moves. Yes Brent was wrong and yet I'm not mad at him for claiming the woman that should have been his all along.
Again real and told well.

Vows

What do you do when you cheating does not sit well with you but the synopsis is attractive. In my case, I read the book. And I was good to go until the "after the weekend pass". And I was doing what I was yelling at the characters for doing. Continuing to read this well written book because it was so good.

Weendend Pass

I mean, what is a woman to do when her husband offers her a revenge pass? Lol Well, Roger certainly reminds me of a Nazi who believes they are God’s gift to earth, and you won’t go through with the offer, and if you do, then Lord forbid, you are the problem. I am glad there was a happy ending, and this was a great story.

The habit of cheating

I liked this story until the week after the weekend hence the one star. Why continue to cheat? He accepted his sister death, why continue to cheat, he became suspicious, why continue to cheat? It just made no sense at all, so the story made no sense in th end.

Sexy despite it all

This was a sexy book; you could feel the heat between the characters BUT … I don’t condone stepping outside of a marriage. There are reasons, definite reasons to end the marriage. As is stated in the book, cheating is a choice.
Despite that I enjoyed the story

Good Book

This book was short and sweet. I truly enjoyed it. I’m very confused by the reviews complaining about the cheating element considering the book title and the description let you know what you were getting up front.

Mixed feelings!

I am totally against cheating. However, in this story, I was sympathetic to the individuals involved. I find it interesting in life that people who cheat do not like to be cheated on. It is ironic and laughable.

steamy

The Weekend Pass is like a guilty-pleasure reality show. It’s steamy and naughty. I was cheering on the wife the entire time. I love that it was written so that I didn’t feel bad for the husband at all.

Okay so this is my kind of petty. I do think the heroine should have walked away the first time she found out her husband was cheating instead she stayed and caused by chaos. 3.5 stars

An ok read

I'm not a fan of cheating either way and two wrongs are not right. If you can look past the cheating then it is a good book.
