A great interview of the Fountas and Pinnell reading program PreK-2. The book discusses early literacy in English and a process of supporting reading development in Early Childhood. The book explains its rationale, how to go about teaching reading programs in classrooms and what each letter level of books should look like. A pretty through explanation of learning to read in English by native speakers. There are a few pointers for English as a New Language students also.

Fluff fluff fluff fluff fluff. The same thing basically repeated over and over. Not much practical use for this book. I wish they had included a list of recommended books, but I'm sure that's a different product you have to purchase. Fountas and Pinnell must be millionaires now. I did like the example photos they included of student writing at each grade level.
