Some parts -like the acceptability of letting cats roam outdoors- have aged poorly, but overall a good, informative book with beautiful illustrations and photographs.
My mom and dad bought me this book when I was looking at it at the book store and wanted to take it home. It has since becomes a reference to my cat as an adult.
This book was very helpful when I adopted my first cats ever back in 2005. It has wonderful information in it, regarding behavior, food, illnesses, etc.
