The first book to deal comprehensively with specialized methods for categorical data with ordered categories. It assembles much of the material previously scattered in journals, including very recent methods such as loglinear and logit methods. The use of existing statistical computer packages for implementing these methods is explained. An extensive bibliography includes articles dealing with the analysis of ordinal categorical data, pulling together research from widely divergent sources.
This book has some very useful techniques for analyzing ordinal categorical data (think survey results measured on a scale of 1-5, 1-10, etc.), however, the book is poorly written without enough explanation for some topics.
