Nikki Soarde is a widely published author of erotic romance as well as mainstream romance novels.

Raised in a "progressive conservative" Mennonite home, Nikki had many issues and obstacles to overcome when it came to views on personal sexuality. Writing erotica played a very influential role in freeing her from many of those inhibitions.

She now writes contemporary, M/M/F and romantic suspense romantica. Her novels are widely published and have been translated into several languages.

Besides writing smut, she works at a hospital laboratory part time. She has been married to the same amazing man for almost 22 years, and has three incredibly smart, funny, intelligent sons to call her own. The first one is heading off to college this fall...and she is NOT going to cry. Much.

When Carter McCrea's girlfriend dumps him after 3 years, he turns to Lea Saunders, his best friend. He isn't using her on the rebound, he didn't even realize he wanted her. But Lea has been mooning over Carter for more than a year. He had been off limits, now he isn't. There's less character and story development than I'd like, feeling more like a novella than a novel. The sex is well written. If your fetish taste is sex in nearly public places, this is the book for you.

Pretty good book. The story line flowed very well. There were no dead spots. Book was wonderfully written & it was a quick & semi-exciting read. Great surprise at the end when finding out who was manipulating whom. I just feel like something was missing in the book. Which is why I gave it 3 stars. I cant really place my finger on what is missing, I just know something was.. Anyway, I would recommend it but its not a keeper for me.
