This volume is heavier than a couple of previous ones, but at the same time the great friendships shine in here. Shuu has amazing friends, I’m happy for the kid at least about this aspect.
I hope things improve.
I liked the conversation two of the kids had about double standards and different outcomes of the same actions for trans girls and trans boys.
The kids discuss important topics and what’s even more crucial, they discuss issues relevant to their lifes. Shimura Takako portrayed children realistically and you can easily see the kids being able to understand these “difficult” topics and the adults shouldn’t avoid it or dismiss them, like many anti-lgbt individuals preach.
CW: transophobia, misgendering, bullying
