These gritty, realistic stories pull the reader along. The stories show the underside of St. Louis and present some understanding of the viewpoints of gang violence, drug cultures, and street people. It is vivid and the locations are real. Altogether worth reading unless one is susceptible to nightmares.

Collection of short stories, all centered around men and all centered around life in St. Louis, MO, and the surrounding area. Some of the stories are intriguing, well written. Many are not. If you like short stories and you you're okay with a mixed bag of topic, delivery and characters, then go for it.

Games Men Play is a series of short stories set in the Saint Louis area. I call them Slice of life stories. Each chapter while having a central theme, the puzzles may or may not be solved. What adds flavor is that these are all lower class people, troubled people that all seem to slip through the cracks.
Games Men Play, a fast read, a good read.

A collection of short crime stories based entirely in St. Louis and surrounding area. Some of the stories are very dark, invoke the the stories of the '30s and '40s.
