Why wasn't this book on the "young readers" shelf?
Yikes! I was insulted by the level of writing. It was all correct, but like a freshman's first essay. Subject, with adjective(s), action verb, with adverbs, detailed description of place. Dumped after 25 pages.

Did I have to know that she flipped her blonde hair back as she got out of her 1982 green Beetle and put her booted foot on the gravel walk? Not an exact quote, but an example of the writing technique.

ANGEL OF DEATH - DNR
Krich, Rochelle Majer - 2nd in Jessie Drake series

It was clear to Los Angeles homicide detective Jessie Drake that the note taped to lawyer Barry Lewis's front door referred to his controversial defense of neo-Nazis. But did it mean danger just to Lewis, or to the whole community? Jessie's investigations take her into the Jewish community.

I couldn't even finish this.
