The Point of It All

Rate this book
As the new principal of Carter G. Woodson Middle School, Dannica Eaton is all about one thing - her students and their success. After all, it wasn't that long ago that she was a student there, herself. It was in the same hallways that she also fell in love for the first time with bad boy Bernard Wright, the son of the infamous neighborhood dope dealer who seemed destined to follow in his father's footsteps.

Now, years later, Dannica finds herself face to face with Bernard, who is still running his father's business and eagerly ready to pick up where they left off when they were teens. Dannica is determined not to risk herself, her position, her freedom, or her heart by getting caught up with Bernard, no matter how hard he tries to prove that he's changed.

In The Point of It All, LaJill Hunt shares a romantic tale of two old friends who find themselves in the present, overcoming their pasts in an effort to determine if they can truly build a future together.

A Complicated Thing

Dannica Eaton is the new principal at George Washington Carver. She takes her responsibility to shape the lives of her students seriously. When she learns that a photo of a nude girl is being shared among her male students, she is determined to get to the bottom of it. When she finds the male student responsible for the situation, he just so happens to be related to Bernard Wright, her grade school crush. Could this be the start of something special?

THE POINT OF IT ALL, a short, is entirely too short! The characters are likable enough, but the opportunity to delve into a serious issue amongst teens was missed. While La Jill Hunt is known for her humor, love stories, and drama, I found that THE POINT OF IT ALL was too light on the drama and pages for my liking. Also, there are issues in editing. Because this is an e-book, I'm hoping that by the time my review posts Hunt will have revised it.

Quick read and very good. Dannica Eaton returns to her middle school alma mater as the new principal to make a difference. While there she reunites with an old school crush Bernard "B" Wright. She realizes she still harbors feelings for B. Wright and gives him a run for his money. Will B. Wright succeed. Read this book and find out.

This was a love story about old love that reunites but not without issues. I liked this book and would have loved it if it had been a little longer. There was definitely room to expand the story more...but from what i read.....I would purchase another book by the author.

Another great read

The mind of LaJill Hunt is amazing. I love every book that she has written that I have read this far. As with all her other books, when I reach the end I am wanting more.
