Fun little read. Just as awesome as the other short stories by Yaritza that I've read. This one had the little twist ending that I have come to love as well.

This was such an adorable read! It was only 3 pages long (PDF version) and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was written as if you were having a normal conversation with Neon, which I haven't seen this style a lot lately - making it a nice change. Neon was relatable - since I believe myself to be a little bit of a book "geek" - and was well written. I can honestly remember thinking similarly when I was in high school! The ending was cute and made me smile.

If you're looking for a cute story this is definitely one you should look into.

"Hi, my name is Neon. Don’t be fooled by my cropped, chopped, and multi-colored hair. Don’t be fooled by my baggy pants and the fact that I hit like a man, or the fact that my breasts are the size of acorns. I’m actually a girl. I like to spell it Grrl".

This felt like it was written by a teenager, which could have been good from a "voice" standpoint. However, because it got preachy at the end, it didn't mesh with the rest of the tone of the story. I recommend this story for 12 year old girls who just found out the guy they like, doesn't like them.

This wasn't bad, it was not my favourite of the author's so far but I believed it to be better written than a lot of the other books I have read so far. Overall it was a fun little read that did not take me more than ten minutes, to be honest that's what I really only like about it.

A cute little story, but the main character ends up being just as obsessed about appearances as the people she made fun of, so that was rather disappointing. It seemed like it was written by a teenager, maybe. Not great, but not awful either.
