When Fiet Larconis left his tribe, he set out on a journey that all of his people went through to discover his purpose in life. After years of travel in the darkness of the wilds, he began to despair that he would never find a purpose worthy enough to live by. It was then that he discovered another culture, very different from his own. Captured and put to slavery in a strange world, it seemed any hope of discovering his purpose in life were forfeit to his new role as a slave. Through his journey as a slave, however, he discovers a whole new outlook on his life, and a new way of thinking that changes his idea of what it means to have a purpose in life. His new life as a slave would have an impact on the lives of all those around him, but it was his life that would be changed the most in the end.
