Written back in 1954 and (I guess) the source for the movie The Revenant. You probably know the story how Hugh Glass crawled over 200 miles of desert like terrain to get revenge on the two friends who left him for dead after a grizzly attack. The author actually splinted one leg and crawled through similar country to prove it could be done. Amazing reality!!! The writing is clear, concise and enthralling. I have to read some of the other books about the West the author penned. Hope they are half a good as this one.
