When Elizabeth Morgan and London Dahlbeck met, they felt an instant attraction. Despite swearing off romance, they inspired one another to try and love again. But love’s a hard game to play.
Between playing in a travelling band, learning to control his newly re-emerging psychic powers, and seeking the truth behind a vision sent to him by a fellow Practitioner, London has little time for romance. And while London’s busy being fabulous, Elizabeth’s singing the hometown blues. She’s left behind everything she knows – her friends, her apartment, her school, and her therapist – to take a job in a new city.
Faced with a string of lonely nights and the unexpected attentions of a living cliché – Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome – Elizabeth starts to wonder: is love really all you need, or are there times when love just isn’t enough?
LB Clark is the author of the rock and roll inspired Jukebox Heroes paranormal romance series. She is also a college student in a small East Texas town who dreams of one day combining her three big loves - travel, music, and writing - into one awesome career.
I really enjoyed this book, which is part 3 in a series. The story is about Em and London trying to make a long distance relationship work which is hard enough on it's own. However, if you throw in London's special abilities, along with him touring with his popular band, he is not around much. Basically this story is how Em deals with the relationship and the struggles. I have to say that I was surprised with the ending, and hopefully there will be a part 4 of this series. All of the books in the series are great books and I would recommend that you get all three books because you will want to follow this story. I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
I waited for this book and while it took me forever to click back to goodreads, I finished it in 36 hours. This story carried me through and distracted me while my mom was having a serious surgical procedure. And as much as I love London, well...I love the ending (quite much) and the cliff hanger. CAN'T WAIT for the next in this series - seriously can't wait.
If you ever wondered how emotionally involved people can get, this is a prime example. I cried like a baby, Ms. Clark. CRIED!!!! I'm not going to give away anything but suffice to say i WILL have to read the next book....
Really wish to give it 2.5 stars. I did not read the first two because it was said this could be a stand alone book, please don't make the same mistake i did. There was a lot of stuff I was unsure about. The book itself it ok, it just dragged a little and I kept wanting to tell the main character to grow some balls already. She flopped back and forth between saying "I love him so much that it's ok that he is a shitty boyfriend" to "I am better than this and am going to put him in his place" so much that I got motion sickness. It was decent for a free read but ehhh not so sure I really care to read anymore of this story. Don't get me wrong I am a little curious to know what happens but not so sure I will ever find out
