Valentine’s Day is Tonia’s least favorite holiday, though it’s a big piece of the family business, a dating Web site called MatchMagic—a business she tries desperately to avoid. Her love life has always been a disaster and so, even though she’s been lusting after James and Jeff, who run the bakery around the corner from her apartment, she’s avoided getting involved.

Now, thanks to her great-aunt Dorothea and her real magic, Tonia can’t resist them any longer. She’s going to spend her Valentine’s Day showing James and Jeff just what one woman can do with two handsome men.

“..Tonia knew she’d never find the one. So she’d given up trying.”
For Tonia, Valentine’s Day has always met disaster. A past boyfriend dumped her on that day. Her ex-husband left her on that day. She’s not interested in finding Mr. Right, despite what her mother and grandmother want, and they have the magical power to make her change her mind. She doesn’t want her family interfering. Her love life sucks and she accepts that. She’s given up trying to find the one. All she wants is to live a routine life without disappointment; but life throws a cog into her well-oiled plan. When J&J Coffee Shop opens, Tonia is drawn to the establishment and when she meets the co-owners- James and Jeff- she is attracted to the two men. Though they are as different as night and day, she knows she could never choose between them. What’s a girl to do? She can’t stay away, so she contents herself with her daily morning visits, just happy to be around them. However, a trick of magic from a totally unsuspected source sets her on a path of lust that can only be satisfied in one way – in the arms of the men she desires.
Enchanted is a very short novella perfect for the Valentine season. The hint of magic injected by the author is a fun element in a story that was over too soon for me. I liked that Jeff and James were equally enthralled with Tonia without any magical intervention. I loved that they had honorable intentions toward her and had been waiting for her to give a sign she was ready to become involved again. The sex in this tale is loving, yet intense. Enchanted is like a Valentine’s Day Card – a brief reading that at its ending makes you smile.

For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review...

This really was a quick book coming in under 20 pages... But let me tell you it was quick and short and to the point but it gave me a great story! I am new reader of Ms. Josee Renard and I will be looking forward to the next book in this series.

We meet Tonia and Jeff and James... And Oh Boy what a combination these three make! I feel I must warn you though that Tonia is no ordinary woman... She has a little magic running in her family lines! So, she is a little extra special! Now, I have to say that one of my favorite things about this book is it takes place in a little coffee shop (actually above)! ;) I love coffee shops and to know that this kind of action could happen above one of my favorite places... Well... It is just adds that extra spice to my next trip... And who knows... My next cup of java just might be Enchanted!
