After college I struggled to find a devotional that I could take seriously and learn from. When my husband bought me his book for Christmas, I feared it would be like many of the others. I'm happy to say that I was wrong! Elwell greatly exceeded my expectations with this book! No cliché, Christianese, rather I was challenged and changed by her insights!
