I will try my best not to ramble on but...

I can not tell you how much I absolutely, completely, utterly, adored this book.
I even sent the author a rather embarrassing, super hyped, "OMG I loved it so much" raving fangirl email!!
But oh-my-gosh I have.
I have seriously fallen in love with this entire series.

As with the previous two books in the Time Spirit trilogy, author Melissa Pearl has woven a completely engrossing tale of Gemma and Harrison's love, dastardly acts of murder and betrayal, and an ever-changing future for our time travelling heroine that I have again, eagerly devoured in one sitting.

The emotional and extremely additive story with its constant twists and turns has kept me on the edge of my seat, gasping in shock, squeeeing gleefully with happiness, and I hesitate to admit - had me crying like a baby!
*note* tissues are a must!

While I am sad that this is the last we will see of Gemma and Harrison, this captivating story has come full circle, ending with the most perfect and satisfying HEA I could of ever hoped for. It was simply beautiful.

I can not wait to see what this exceptionally talented author has up her sleeve next because the Time Spirit trilogy has been one of the best YA series I have read, ever.

Gemma and Harrison enter their final school year with the ever increasing possibility that Gemma's parents will discover that Harrison does not only still exist but is also still having a very serious relationship with Gemma. Gemma and Harrison must also find out why Harrison's mother has suddenly turned on Gemma and when they do, Gemma must find a way to turn the situation around. When the exchange student, Simeon, arrives to lodge with Gemma and her family, things are bound to get extremely difficult for her and Harrison.

I was touched by the gentleness and purity of the romantic relationship between Harrison and Gemma, but, can such a lovely relationship outlast the antagonism of Gemma's so-called parents? When multiple lives seem poised on the edge of ruin and an innocent dies, will Gemma be able to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Although I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the series, I simply could not put this one down. Apart from the nonstop suspense, this book took me on an emotional roller coaster ride. I went from shouting encouragement and sitting on the edge of my chair with anticipation, to grabbing handfuls of Kleenex. Romance, suspense and truly tear-jerking moments; this book has it all. The brilliantly portrayed characters and the regular dates, given to keep the reader on track, brings a unique realism to the story; something which is very handy in a time travel novel. With never a dull moment in the story, the author kept me guessing right up to the end.

Once again I want to advise readers to get hold of “Golden Blood” and “Black Blood” - the first two books in this trilogy - before reading “Pure Blood”. As this is the last book in the Time Spirit Trilogy, I was sad to say good bye to all these characters. “Pure Blood” is more than deserving of 5 stars and I sincerely hope that Melissa Pearl will soon have some more wonderful books for us book-hungry readers to look forward to. Pure Blood is the last and final book in the Time Spirit Trilogy. While some may say that the 2nd and 3rd book in a series are never as good as the 1st, they would absolutely be wrong in this case. Pure Blood is STUPENDOUS!

Melissa Pearl does an amazing job again with this final installment. Winding the initial drama into an adventure slam packed with so much suspense you will not be able to put the book down. All the while she keeps you guessing as to the ending.

However the ending – there is a huge problem with the ending – And the problem is it actually ENDED.

I for one can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

WOW, like seriously, WOW! I'm devastated that this series has finished. I could happily read about Gemma, Harrison and Gabe for the rest of my life. This is one of the best YA urban fantasy series I have EVER read. Can you tell I loved it? I HIGHLY recommend this book, and the two that preceded it. The Time Spirit series is just amazing. I loved all the twists and turns, the fights (its always good to have a bit of ass kicking isn't it?), the love element (I cried... yes, I really cried) and the fantasy side of the characters having to hop back in time were all fantastic. I am now officially one of Melissa Pearl's biggest fans.

Best ending to this series, it left me crying.

Wow! Melissa Pearl is a mad genius, a master at her craft, and this remarkable author has successfully left me with my jaw on the ground. Oh the twists and turns and suspenseful journey that she has led her readers on. Pure Blood is one of the most thought provoking, emotional, and epic stories I've ever had the chance to experience. The shock that I am still in from the last few events of the book have left me awestruck. I'm at a loss for how to express how much The Time Spirit Books have meant to me and how sad I am to see this trilogy end (maybe I'm lucky and she will turn it into more than a trilogy). I know you're reading this Melissa, what do you say?

Ok, I'm done gushing, not really.

In all seriousness I think Pure Blood is the best ending for the series, it was perfect, more than perfect even. The events that lead up to the conclusion left only one possible ending, as heart wrenching as it was to read (I'm sure it was hard to write as well) it was beautifully done.

As this is a book 3 in the Time Spirit books I HIGHLY recommend reading Golden Blood and Black Blood first. It's not a series that can be read out of order, the build up to this book will be completely lost on anyone who doesn't experience the story in order.

The mounting suspense that has been featured throughout books 1 and 2 is met with closure in Pure Blood. We finally learn the events from Gemma's past and how she came to be with her family. The reader is faced with shocking truths and a hard to digest ending that still has me reeling. Melissa writes stories to be absorbed in, I am mesmerized when I read her prose and it makes it very hard to put her books down (which may be why I didn't until they were done).

I love the relationship of Gemma and Harrison, they are young but mature, independent and involved. It's fun to think back to where the series, and their relationship, started and where they have all ended up. My favorite line of the book comes from a conversation between Gabe and Harrison, "It takes a special kind of man to care for a strong woman. She needs you more than you know." And, I just love that. Gemma is strong, but in so many ways I see her as equally weak. She needs Harrison more than anything, I think he keeps her grounded.

Gabe is probably my favorite character in the books. He is vulnerable yet indestructible. I love when parents have positive roles in YA books, I think it's really important. Gemma and Gabe's relationship is a great one, and the relationship between Gabe and Harrison is wonderful as well.

I won't say anything else as to not give anything more away. Besides, if you've read Golden Blood and Black Blood chances are this one is already in your hands. :)

Thank you to Melissa for this amazing opportunity to read this fun and fascinating series of yours!

Pure blood is the third and final book in the Time Spirit Trilogy. I read the first one two months ago, then picked up the second one and after finishing it I immediately picked up Pure Blood because I couldn't wait to find out how this Melissa Pearl will conclude this addicting trilogy! I can't lie, I really grew fond of Gemma, the protagonist, Harrison, and especially Gabe, it was sad to see that there will be no more books about them The ending was also a bit bittersweet, though it was a very satisfying ending! It is just a bit hard to get around the whole time traveling and changing the past, therefore the present and future, but I loved it!

Pure blood picks up where we left off in Black Blood and since my reviews are always spoil free, I won't be able to tell you where huh? Anyways the third book centers more on Harrison and Gemma's relationship and also gives us more backstory to some of the other characters, including Gemma's parents. We also get another 'love interest' for Gemma that was brought by her parents. That was the only aspect in the book that I did not enjoy that much, I just felt that Harrison's jealousy was a bit unnecessary. However I was all for him being protective. Gemma's parents? oh boy, did I want to strangle them, the word 'overprotective' is an understatement! Even though Gemma turns 18, they still control every aspect of her life and wow, were they suffocating! We also don't get much of Dom and Ruby which is sad but we do get a lot of Gabe and I totally love him. Gabe was like her guardian, the one that showed her the truth and taught her how to really protect herself.

Overall Pure was a great conclusion to this amazing trilogy, it was filled with gasp worthy moments and the ending is just fantastic! throughout the book I was wondering how in the world will Milessa Pearl be able to end this whole mess we had, but I loved it! It wasn't the cliched ending, and I always salute an author that takes the unconventional route with endings. Thank you Melissa for providing such great enjoyment with this trilogyy, and I really can't recommend it enough to all you readers!

Excellent ending, I just want more Harrison & Gemma though :) This series was wonderful. I really enjoyed it.

The final installment had me glued to my kindle (who am I kidding? They all did, 3 books in 2 days, that's how much I loved them). Gemma has been through so much this past year and this book holds no exception. Gemma was a busy gal, if she wasn't traveling back to 1820 to keep Harrison's dad from dying which in turn brought his mum peace today she was consecutively dating & hiding her boyfriend from her family or escaping from her freak controlling parents after them beating her for her magical blood, she was hanging out with Simeon, the model look a like slash loser (and apparent betrothed), getting to know her real father and sacrificing herself to save the lives of her friends and possible hundreds of other innocents across the centuries. She was one busy courageous gal. Of course she made sure there was time for making out with her delicious other half Harrison and so she should too! They are so enarmoured with each other it was beautiful to watch.

If you are reading this review you are probably (hopefully) considering commencing the first book Golden Blood. Take my advice, stop reading reviews and start the book. It was delightful.

Well done and thankyou Ms Pearl, you have pulled me from my reading slump where I am in the middle of 3 series, yet wasn't interested enough to continue on. These books have re affirmed my love for reading and gave me that kick up the butt that reminds me that there are too many great books out there to read ones that don't keep you engrossed. I will keep my eye out for further books with your name on them!

This is the third and final (for now) book in the Time Spirit series, which finally answers the question that has been threaded throughout books one and two - what are Gemma's parents up to?

I have to say that I was surprised! I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasn't this - it's fabulous when an author can surprise the reader, and I felt like Melissa did. The escalation of violence and erratic behaviour from her parents, and the exchange student they planted into Gemma's life made things very difficult for her, but those were not the only challenges faced in this book, because Harrison's mother suddenly goes cold on Gemma, and neither her, or Harrison, can figure out why. The two struggle to figure out who they really are, and what that means for themselves as individuals, as well as a couple.

There were a lot of threads to be tied up in the book, and while some of them were obvious, there were plenty of surprises - not everything is as you might suspect. I don't really want to say too much, because I would hate to give the ending away, but this is a great finale to the series, and I was really satisfied with how it was wrapped up. Gemma is an amazing girl, and my heart broke for her several times during this book. Still, she stayed true to herself, and pushed on despite the odds. If you've read the first two books in this series, then you NEED to read this one. You won't be disappointed.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Melissa Pearl puts out next, and you can be sure I'll be grabbing a copy, whatever it turns out to be.

{my thoughts} - This book picks up where the last had let out. It filled with angst, betrayal, deceit, love, admiration, and loyalty. Gemma is forced to trust her gut or trust what she had been raised to believe as a child when it comes to her and her family. She never fully understood the point of her travels, why she always had to be with and if there was a reason that the entire family had always participated.

A lot of the questions you have as a reader get answered in this third book. This book was mind blowing and exceptional. I couldn’t help but cry from reading some of the heart to heart moments. Gemma is your not so average teenage girl that has a not so normal family.

She is forced to put her feelings aside in order to make a sacrifice that can take everything away from her that she has ever known. She has to decide if she should do what is right or what she wants in order to fix all the bad that has been taking place in and around her life. This is a definite must read series!

{reason for reading} - I was given a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.

Melissa Pearl has truly captured me with her Time Spirit trilogy. The story continues and sadly ends with Pure Blood. In Pure Blood Melissa Pearl has shown what a brilliant writer she is. She still is able to keep readers on the edge of their seats with all the twists and turns throughout. In Pure Blood Gemma finally finds out the truth behind her parents' plans. Bringing in Simeon, a gorgeous Californian an exchange student just might bring their plans to completion. Gemma and Harrison now face the hardest decision of their relationship. Do they have what it takes to stop the plan becoming complete or will they fail? Readers will be at the edge of their seats and pulled onto an emotional roller coaster as they read. Time Spirit Trilogy, Golden Blood, Black Blood and Pure Blood are a MUST READ for anyone.

Okay so you know at the end of a really good boook series and you've got that goofy smile on your face that you hope your roommate doesn't see cause she'll make fun of u, and then u get a little bit upset cause u realize there's no more books? Well this was that kind of series for me. It doesn't happen often but man did this book deliver. I thought it was a great finish to a brillant journey and I was pleasently surprised with the ending and felt all the character stories were wrapped up beautifuly. I'll definately be keeping my eye on this author as I'm sure there will be alot more brillant stories where this came for : )

* I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

Great book.. Although I didn't read the previous books in Time Spirit Trilogy, I caught up with the plot quickly. I love how everything falls into place, how you suddenly realise what had happened years ago (Gemma's mum or Harrison's parents). I would love to have even more flashbacks into the past and Gemma's relationship with her parents could be described more deeply, but 'Pure Blood' with its OMG ending is definitely worth reading. (+ Gemma and Harrison are soo cute together :))

I am always stressed by the last book in a series, because things get Soooo crazy!! If you have read my review on the first book you will see that I Loved this whole story. It was great and I will admit that I started reading this yesterday and am done. That is when you know it was great....when things get pushed aside and maybe ignored a little because you just can't put the book down. Once again I loved Gemma and Harrisons story. Things got crazy and it always amazes me and makes me Happy, Happy, Happy when the author can end it well. Because what can I say I need my happy ending!!!

Another amazing cover and fantastic story to get lost in.
Books don't get better than this.
Gemma and Harrison's story continues and life gets very complicated for both as events spiral out of control. Gemma has to make the ultimate sacrifice, but as you read the book you know that is the only possible option. In an interesting twist we also find out more about Harrison's past and what makes him special.
Love it. Love this series, it was fantastic!

I enjoyed this story! Gemma/Lucia's a very strong and selfless girl! Harrison is so right for her! I love Gemma's dad! The ending made sense to me, but you have to read it to see if you agree!

My only thing was that I didn't get the very last sentence and it bugs me! There are still questions that I didn't get answers to, but that didn't stop my enjoyment of the book!

Overall, it was a good series...there was only one twist I didn't see coming - I could slap myself for not seeing it!! I was still in Gemma slapping mode in this one too but in the end everything was solved and the right people prevailed. Gemma did get her HEA but not in the conventional way you would hope for....
