Cleared of wrongdoing and now wearing a badge, Sam Keaton deals with an unsolved bank robbery and a double murder, as the townspeople refuse to trust that he is on the right side of the law.
After reading book one a few months ago, I wasn't sure if I would want to read more in the series. Book two was better than book one and interesting enough to make me want to keep on reading. I'm not much of a fan of westerns or mysteries, but somehow this one was okay because it was all about the characters. They were set in a western and they had a mystery on their hands, but it felt like the focus was primarily on the people, and I cared about the people I was supposed to like.
