Gothic Opera: Nightmares Labyrinth by Peter E. Boroch is a pretty long, (over 600 pages), book but it is definitely worth reading. It is a post apocalyptic book (which have recently become some of my favorites) with mythical creatures galore! When you combine aliens with politics and warfare, you don't generally see it as being a good thing but I was pleasantly surprised reading this book. The book itself has the classic "good vs. evil" underlying theme but with over 600 pages, it's so much more than that. The characters had depth and the story flowed really well and it was hard to put down. I would love to see more from Mr. Boroch!
