"Fakebook Chronicles" is a series of short stories from the hood. Sh*t ain't sweet out here in the streets on FB. One wrong friend request and your life can end. We all know the "Good" side FB, so I'm reporting the "Hood" side. Strap on your seat belts as Mike O takes you on a bumpy ride down the information highway where the dope, guns and thugs dwell; where heads get rocked, domes swell, and bodies smell. It ain't safe no more and "The Streets is Watching". Street lit and FB collide for an explosive ride on the other side where you can lose your life *hood pose*
Facebook Chronicles: For the Love of Money is the first part of Mike O's Facebook Chronicles series. What happens when you put all your business on Facebook? You're guaranteed to get gotten, which is exactly what happens in this book! Ace and Dre have come up with the perfect get rich quick scheme and they don't even have to leave their house to find their victims. This book was definitely entertaining.I read it in a few hours. I laughed at some of the things that were said and done. Think twice about what you post on the "book" because you never know who might just be watching! Can't wait to read part 2! 5 stars!
This was a really short read i finished it within an hour. This book was good and made a lot of valid points with Facebook/ "Fakebook" you put your business out there and someone is always watching so dont put too much you dont want others to see they can use it against you. the characters in the story had a lot going on so things arent always what they seem it was one part i had to re read like did i just read that right. I cant wait to read the next part because it left me hanging i wanted to know what was next. If your looking for a quick read this is it!
This was a great short story it had me intrugued from the beginning to the end. Not only was this a good read, Mike O sends out a great message. The story introuduce characters that uses the social network facebook to rob someone and also uses a young beautiful woman as bait. There was also a twist to the story. All I can say is I wasn't disappointed at all. Can't wait to get my hands on part two.
I initially found it difficult to get into this book because of the language and street vernacular, but after moving into the proper mindset and digging into the true storyline, it got pretty good. I can't say that I found anything particularly spectacular about the story, but it was a quick read, a fun story, and a good distraction from the structured, straightforward life that being a professional sometimes offers.
I don't even know where to start here. The ties were phenomenal and the plotting and scheming wound up coming together. Ace and Dre are two of the most conniving dudes I think I've ever read about. Especially Ace. Dude has a mind like a machine and he's a real for sure calculator.
I think the real surprise in this book is Tyisha, but I'll keep that one to myself.
This is the first book I have read by the author but it definitely won't be my last. Parts of the book had me chuckle because I can truly imagine people on facebook truly acting like that. Mike O I will be patiently waiting for the next installment....just don't have me waiting too long!
Take this journey as Mike O gives a spin to the social network site that we all love to hate!! He definitely doesn't disappoint, and I just clicked Pt. 2.. keep em coming Mike O. Pickup Fakebook Chronicles and you'll know it's real.
It's a shame I can't give this zero stars. The review somehow made it sound interesting, but it was just simply ridiculous!! Just awful!! What more can I say. I can't blame the author for not putting his last name on this...I'd want to stay anonymous too!!!
