Wonderful book from my dad's bookshelf of practical manuals - published in the fifties and discovered by me soon after. I pored over the different alphabets of fonts and used them all the time in my school projects and whenever I wanted to make a homemade card for family and friends or a sign for my bedroom door: 'Genius at work'. I loved the gothic font and 'cartoon' and everything in between. More than that Robert Shaw taught me about spacing and style. A simple straightforward book but one that was much loved and appreciated.
