[Siren Classic Erotic Alternative Romance, M/M, HEA] It was bad enough to have some guy try to hit on him in the men's room of the video arcade last night, but to wake up and find two tattoos on his body is just too much. Who in the hell is this Dimitri person? And why is his name tattooed on my butt? Trey and the other friends have pulled some pretty mean pranks on Eli in the past, but this is just too much. Dimitri takes one look at that handsome sleeping face and just can't resist branding his name across Eli's bottom. Maybe it is the way Eli had turned down his advances earlier that night that spurs him to do such a childish thing. Or maybe he just hopes the preppy violinist will seek him out to remove the tattoos and he’ll get another chance to gaze into those big hazel eyes. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Shawn Bailey hails from New Orleans, LA, where she works as a programmer and help desk administrator. Shawn loves mangas and anime. Her current hobbies are watching Japanese and Korean dramas, when she has the spare time. She’s also trying to learn to speak and read both Japanese and Korean. She’s also into Korean pop music and can often be found with her MP3 player attached to her head. Shawn is single and enjoying the heck out it.
It was a good enough sweet book but the ending sort of bothers me. Ok he ends up with Dimitri but what happens to Randall? In effect he will be cheating and lying on the guy who is already emotionally involved with him and will be waiting around for him while in College. randall has also been his friend for about 12 years. For a while there I was scared it was going to be a ménage.
I can't be totally happy as I keep wondering about Randal's feelings. hoping for a sequel or Randall's HEA next.
I haven’t read much of this author’s work before but loved the sound of MARK ME when I stumbled upon it on the web somewhere. I dived into a story on my nook with eager delight to see that the book blurb was spot on and the author delivers an action packed, roller coaster of a ride in. The writing is tight, story moves quickly and the characters...well there are a few that you will fall for in a heartbeat and a few you want to beat upside the head with a stick.
Meet Eli, a recent graduate from high school, on a night on the town with his friends when he meets Dimitri. Too bad it was in the bathroom stall and that Eli was exhausted. But when the next day, Eli finds two tattoos, one with the name of Dimitri on his butt, well, let’s just say sparks fly between these two. I loved the dynamics between Eli and Dimitri. Eli is portrayed as a naïve young man with the whole world open to him and Dimitri is more world weary and has a few scars to prove it. This author does a great job in keeping the balance between these two and it was fun to see the tug of war they had whenever they had issues-from clothes to living arrangements to careers. Sean Bailey definitely delivers on the sex scenes. They were smoking hot yet you can taste the underlying tenderness between Eli and Dimitri as well as their growing feeling for one another.
MARK ME is a fun, delightful read that you can easily spend a lazy afternoon reading. It has some wonderful characters, a great locale in New Orleans (I could just about smell the scents of gumbo and chicory coffee in the air) and two people who must fight for their relationship in order to be together. I am eager to see what else is on this author’s backlist of titles and can’t wait for another story from Shawn Bailey.
