Mona is unaware that she is part of an ancient legacy. Also She stumbles on a world full of demons, werewolves, vampires, and gods! She meets two yummy guys and begins to learn her important position in their world.
I enoyed this.
I sould have been revising my book but i chose to take a nice book vacation and have no regrets.
i thought this would be erotica due to the HOT cover, but it was more action, fantasy, sensuality, and then later HOTNESS!

Mona Laveaux is unaware of her origins, and when her guardian is killed, she is thrown into a world of immortals fighting to find her and to take what she has. Mona luckily was trained by her guardian before his death to use weapons and to fight. All skills she will need in the upcoming battle for mankind as well as vampires and werewolves.
Very interesting mix of characters within this book. I loved Ambrielle Kirk's world building. Very elaborate background histories on the characters.
Now the hero Xander Delgado was exceptionally tasty. I love a hot vamp and he definitely was hot. A thinker and sexy, who could ask for more? The love that is growing between Mona and Xander is forbidden which made this a roller-coaster ride to read. I loved it. I love a romance that can pull you into the characters lives and has you on pins and needles wondering what will happen next.
Enter Hunter. Xander Delgado's brother. A brother who has his own agenda. A brother whose very presence causes issues for Xander and Mona's relationship.
The age-old rivalry between werewolf and vampires was fun with the added twists of demons, gods and prophecies in this book. Again rich history, and very rich story telling. The only issue I had with the book was that a few times with all the characters I had to re-read to make sure who it was talking about as there were a lot of different characters. The book is 314 pages so there is a lot of information and little subplots within this story. I cannot wait for the second book to see all the lose ends tied up. There are other interesting characters in this book that I am hoping will have their say in the sequel as well.
Great book, I do recommend it.

She hangs on to his last words: “Mona-Lou, You are ready”, “Remember everything I have taught you” and “Your destiny will be revealed to you soon”. She is now determined to avenge his death and begins the journey that opens her eyes to the world Nightkeepers, Daykeepers, witches and demons as she tries to figure out who would want Pops (Simon Vivant) dead.
Mona comes in contact with Xander Delgado from DPS (Division of Paranormal Studies). Realizing that she has no one left in the world she decides to see how he can assist in this mystery of her father’s death. Mona is instantly drawn to this tall DARK and handsome gentleman. Xander has awakened this strong attraction, lust, and desire in Mona and she decides to put her trust in him. She will soon find out that Pops has prepared her well for her destiny.
Mona gets thrown into a fantastical world where demons are on the hunt for her and some special “jade” stone, vampires are trying to befriend her and werewolves are trying to convince her to follow them. She learns that she is to save Humanity from Zipacna. This book will surely keep you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between Mona and Xander is ferocious. Mona also gets thrown for a loop when she meets Hunter- Xander’s identical twin who happens to be just as sexy as Xander!
There is never a dull moment. This book is a great read full of twists, turns, excitement, some hot and steamy scenes and be warned that you will certainly NOT be able to put it down! Ambrielle Kirk has developed a wonderful fantastical world and immediately draws you in. After reading the summary of this book I thought I would be lost in the story line and characters but Ambrielle Kirk gave me enough of the story background to easily follow it and always had me on edge desperate to know what is going to happen next! This is a great read and I will warn you that this book is a cliffhanger so be prepared to await the next book in the blood legends series!

This was entertaining. I liked the usual vampire/werewolf rivalry. The 'hunt' was an interesting component. I hope there is a next installment.
