It PAINS me to give a 1 star review for one of my favorite erotica authors but it's just that I don't like

January 8, 2014*POUTS* I LOVED Red Phoenix's Brie books. But I truly dislike this!! So much so that I am NOT finishing it! There are only 365 days in the year. I am not wasting any of them on a book I don't enjoy! The writing is fine, but the whole "Cheating" thing is making me ill! No STARS!

*snuggle up to keep each other warm
Since I'm such a huge Brie fan, I figured I'd give this series a try. I really wasn't sure what I'd get, since I wasn't big fan of the Sensual Erotica: The adventures of Amy & Troy.
I was pleasantly surprised by this hot, steamy little short.

OH! This was soooo good & then the end pissed me off, so it lost a star!!
2 couples are going on vacation trip to a mountain cabin. one half of each couple is running behind, so the remaining halves go shopping in their stead buying junky canned food the others don't like, but they do...
So they get to the cabin & they are snowed in & there is no way the partners will be able to be there for a few days... well... cabin fever happens & they realize they have more in common with eachother than with their current lovers & it gets hot & heavy between them! Awesome!!!
Well... It's super short & reads like an excert or intro to a bigger novel! At the end, their lovers arrive & walk in the cabin together! That's it! I know there has to be more, so maybe it's in another book. I was so mad, that I'm spoiling the end, so no one else gets as disappointed as I did! You can choose to read it if you don't mind hanging, but I SERIOUSLY mind!!
It was a great book & I do want to read more, but if it's going to be a whole bunch of novellas making one book, I can't take it! Oh well!

So, I'm slowly working my way through Red's other books while patiently waiting for book 7 of Brie's adventures.
It's a foregone conclusion that I'm going to love anything Red publishes so I'm really not going to say much except for the fact that I love this story! It wasn't what I expected after starting with Brie. I loved how all of the characters are fully developed although I would like to know what Brie and Dan do for a living even though that's not an integral part of the story. They are friends who have the though of should, coulda, woulda, and they did. They so did! And they fell in love. I actually think they always loved each other they just never really addressed it. I'm excited to see what book 4 brings and how Kelly will effect their relationshp and subsequent friendship with Ryan. Will Ryan want to be friends with them? Oooh! So many questions and options! I can't wait!

This story is HOT. Sexy Sexy Sexy, and very interesting, and very short. It was also free so as soon as I finished it I went back to Amazon and bought "Blissfully In Love" and "Blissfully Broken" I can hardly wait till "Blissfully Taken" comes out. I'm totally hooked. Snowbound is definitely a cliff hanger. The second book "In Love" could end there but thankfully it goes on to "Broken" which could also be an ending with one broken heart (not counting Kelly's). I was glad to see that there is at least one more book in this series though. I hope it ends with a happily ever after although I don't see how it could but I'm not the author after all. This is the first time I have ever read a book by Red Phoenix. I just bought 3 more books by this author because I'm impressed with his/her writing and couldn't put the books down till I'd read them through. I highly recommend these books.The Blissfully Series.

In this book, we have Jenny, who is dating Ryan. She is best friends with Kelly, who is dating Dan. They have all been friends since college. Jenny & Dan went up to his family cabin for the weekend, as they were to meet up with Kelly & Ryan. However, a snowstorm hits, and only Jenny & Dan actually make it to the cabin. Snowed in, and now, without power, it's just the two of them, they talk, play board games, cook. Dan confesses that he's always had a crush on Jenny, and it was a shame they didn't actually get together first.
Jenny is a little taken back. She doesn't know how to respond to Dan, as he's dating her best friend, and her boyfriend and him are best friends. They've gone on many trips together, and never has he shown much interest in her, as Kelly is always around.
Jenny starts to notice Dan, how broad his shoulders are, how good his clothes always fits, and how much compassion he is actually showing her. Something she's never noticed about him before. Is he a better fit for her than Ryan? As the cold sets in, the snugglier they get with each other on the couch in front of the fire. Jenny & Dan start messing around with each other. Although, she doesn't allow him to do a few things, she doesn't think they are totally 'cheating' as they aren't being totally intimate with each other. However, she knows her heart is changing more towards Dan than Ryan.

The four of them were that perfect combination of friends. The couples had met in college three years ago, and still hung out together. Kelly and Dan, Jenny and Ryan pretty much did everything together, including the weekend trip to Dan's family cabin in the mountains. Because of differing schedules and the snow storm, Dan and Jenny were isolated in the cabin alone for five days before they were cleared out. Oh and what happens in those 5 days will change everything.
Red Phoenix has taken these characters in a direction few authors will go and you'll question yourself about who you want to stand behind.

I’m only giving this book 4 star because it was good but it could have been more. And that is a lot since I love the Brie series.
I loved the characters and the story line. Especially the end. I don’t want to give anything away. The Cabin scenes were nice and steamy and done wonderfully. I definitely seen the story going a different way. I love when I think it will end one way and it ends completely different.
Don’t miss out on this great story. It’s a good time filler.
So far the Brie series is my favorite out of all the books.

Red Phoenix does it again!!! It starts out as an innocent best friend’s and lovers getaway, but turns into a threesome that leaves best friends and lovers torn, trying to keep a relationship of 3 afloat without leaving one feeling left out. I mean I really liked this book but I felt so bad for Dan which I turn made me dislike Jenny. All in all this book had some steamy scenes that leaves you wanting more! Not to mention all the drama in between. So if your into steamy threesomes this book is a must read! Red Phoenix knows how to deliver on the emotions my goodness!!

Once again Red Phoenix wrote a very capturing book. This book grabs you and brings right into the story. The conflicting emotions between the couples leaves you guessing what’s going to happen to them. Right when you think you figured out the plot it takes a different direction.. The connection between Dan and Jenny is so strong that you can since it through out the story. It’s a must read once you start you will not want to put it down because you are going to wondering what happens.

Liked this storyline and characters. But was not ready for it to be a cliffhanger ending! Jenny is with Ryan. Dan is with Kelly. They are all good friends. But when Jenny and Dan are trapped in a cabin during a blizzard, feelings emerge and they have some very hot, sexy, playtime together. And they both declare their love to each other, but what about Ryan and Kelly?!

I really enjoyed this storyline, but I thought the characters were very immature for this storyline. Kelly should have been put in the looney bin from the beginning of the book. I would definitely recommend this book.
