My name is Becca Van. I live in Australia with my wonderful hubby of many years, as well as my children, a pigeon pair (a girl and a boy). I have always wanted to write and last year decided to take the plunge.

I didn’t want to stay in the mainstream of a boring nine-to-five job, so I quit to fulfill my passion for writing. I decided to utilize my time with something I knew I would enjoy and had always wanted to do. I submitted my first manuscript to Siren-BookStrand a couple of months ago; and much to my excited delight, I got a reply saying they would love to publish my story. I literally jump out of bed with excitement each day and can’t wait for my laptop to power up so I can get to work.

For a while I thought it would not be as bad as the previous book I read from this author...
I obviously thought wrong.
Until then (and hopefully never again) I had never read any kidnapping scene by a former trained special operative as lame as this one.
Sorry for the spoiler but those are necessary to understand my daze, this very very bad guy whom everyone was afraid of, just escaped of prison and deciding to get his revenge on the 2 guys who sent him to jail through their loved one, does 2 things which left me open-mouthed.
First during a burglery he prevents Debbie from hitting him again with an aluminum bat and turns the bat on her face, which he only bruises while managing to propel her in clothes rack. Good move guy, I guess my biceps are stronger than yours...
Then he kidnaps the poor girl, makes her wear a life jacket full of explosives and fastened her to a chair; a long while later the two super heroes still special forces are at a complete loss how to disarm him. Luckily this very mean guy just drank himself into a stupor (and does not land on the trigger while collapsing on the floor). I really could not believe it. I confess I had to read the end of the scene twice to be sure I had correctly understood it.
That's definitely the last one I read from this author, which I cannot in anyway recommend and whom I do not know how she could have achieved the 4.03 rating I saw for this very same book.

I noticed that this book was under $3 and quickly snatched it up. This publisher rarely has books below that and I didn't want to miss out. I read this author/series years ago and thought I would delve back in with this book. Unfortunately it didn't hold up to my memory. The book mostly focused on the heroine with little insight into the Heroes, even though a person from their past is coming after them creating part of the conflict of this book. There also wasn't a lot of detail concerning this person from the past. It seemed poorly developed and was over too quickly for my tastes.

Wowza!! This is a hot and steamy read!! I love a sexy menage!! And the story is interesting. A problem I have found with this series is once they start having sexy the story falls away a bit.

I am hooked on the series so I will keep reading I just hope the writing improves. I would like the intrigue to be more than an after thought in the end.

Like the other book's a lot is the same. I like that there was more interaction with the other women in ménage. I do like the gentlemanly guys and the romance of the books even if most of it is the same in every book.
