I really wanted to like this book but in the end I just couldn't. It is a collection of several fan-fiction short stories. For the most part the stories are well written but what turned me off to the book was the content. Nearly all of the stories revolved around the darker side of fantasy. The stories were about suffering, betrayal, torture, or just pure sadism. Definitely not my cup of tea.
