After the sudden death of her father Lucy Walden’s life is turned upside down when she is forced to move to a small southern town. As she struggles with her new surroundings, Lucy finds out the world she once thought she belonged to was nothing more than a ruse to cover up a dark secret. She is a Mikah, a cross breed of two creatures from different worlds at war with each other. Ashton Crawford, a Halfling, isn’t fazed by anyone or anything until Lucy glides into his life. He wonders why being in her presence brightens up his cold dreary existence. With a wave of his hand he lights up the dark caverns of his home and shows Lucy what life is like among the Dragomir vampires. Two worlds, brought together by Lucy’s disappearance must find a way to overcome their mutual hatred for each other or watch as one of the darkest vampires rises and destroys not only Lucy, but the race they both sworn to protect.
My name is Tiffany Berry, author of Eternal Changes – The Mikah Series. I have a love/hate relationship with chocolate. I love it while I’m eating it and hating it when it adds an inch to my thighs. Seriously. I feel like I’m an addict. I wonder if there is a chocoholic anonymous organization? If there is, I definitely need to see about joining.
I believe in kindness, faith, hope, love, and dreams. Almost 90% of the time, I’m optimistic about life, The other 10% is because I’m a woman and have the pleasure of being miserable a week out of the month. Just feed me chocolate and I won’t gripe.
I live in a small southern town in Kentucky. There's one caution light, no alcohol (dry county), a McDonald's that is half an hour away, and pizza delivery ain't gonna happen. But, I wouldn't change a thing.
My novel, Eternal Changes, is available in paperback on Amazon.com!
This is one of the books that I read in middle school and loved and finally found again many years later. However, it is also one of the books that was not as good as I remember. There were a lot of grammatical errors and the story felt rushed and jumbled for most of the book. It’s the classic “I’m a teenager who has been struck by a tragedy and oh wait I’m not normal and I’m in love with a stranger after 10 minutes.” It felt like it was multiple books in one and I struggled when it came to the spelling of anyone with any kind of accent- I ended up skipping those sentences/scenes because it was painful.
I still enjoyed reading it after searching for it for years, though I doubt I’ll read the second one. It’s worth a read if you’re bored, can get it for free and don’t have a lot of time- it took me less than a few hours in total.
I don't get where all the I loved it reviews came from. We're we reading the same book. I can see where the plots original idea could have been entertaining. But the whole book is just poorly written. Some parts are rushed and many others are just plan cheesy line after cheesy line. I'm all for the "insta-love" plot. You know the I just met you but we're soul mates plot but the way its written in this made me roll my eyes.
An interesting idea, but not very well-executed. It was choppy and jumped around unexpectedly. Hard to follow in places. Some very obvious grammatical issues were also distracting.
