Miss Alice and Miss Bertha Worthington are trying to get home, but find themselves unable to start their car. A passing stranger offers to assist them, asking only for a ride home himself in return. Over the next few hours, the innocent events of the night ferment in the minds of the slanderous sisters. A fitting title...
What appears to be is taken as fact. A spark ignites and is fanned and kindled to frantic proportions. People react without checking facts and it's now out of control. Nothing can be done about it now but to watch it burn as folks burn with madness in their eyes. And the young man at last, believes he sees his friends when in fact, he sees the spark -- the cause of the Ignition.
