The Price of Love

Akyra Chiffon Does it again
“You can’t bring anyone peace when you’re the chaos that poisons them.”
This was something I never knew I needed. We get basically the prequel to Internal Affairs. We get to meet Damien’s parents Eric and Naomi. From the beginning Eric stepped up and let everyone know he was all about Naomi. He even had no problem addressing her parents and letting them know. Naomi was young and impressionable teenage girl who was enamored with Eric and once they were together she found it hard to tell him no and she found it hard to stop loving him. This was a quick read and I definitely enjoyed it.

We meet Damien's parents, Eric and Naomi. As previously introduced in book one, Internal Affairs. Eric made sure that he let the world know that Naomi was his and would do anything to keep her, even Naomi's parents. Leaving Naomi with the hard choice, her life with Eric or a relationship with her parents. Who despises Eric because of his life choices. How can she make such a tough decision and will the decision that she makes cost her more than she bargained for?
All and all, great quick read. If you enjoyed this book, be sure to read Internal Affairs!

the price of love
This baby Naomi went through it! She knew what she signed up for when she got with Eric but being young and dumb she was not ready . This is an emotional read, read the trigger warnings if you are easily triggered. Eric was in the streets but I feel like he really loved Naomi now they both did some things that I don’t agree with as for a decision making but when you make your bed you have to lie in it and that’s the price of love. Let me go read the next book!

No lie, I was trying to fight back the tears throughout this whole book until I had to let it out on the epilogue. This story is focus on Damien’s parents but it more focused on his mother Naomi on how she met Eric and what she went through. It’s the price you pay when it comes to dangerous love. That girl went through so much from age 17 to almost 40. This author is very talented and deserves more flowers and recognition. I highly recommend.
