The Packverse #1

All for Knot: Book One

Rate this book
It's the night before my wedding, and I just found out my beta fiancé is cheating on me.

When I receive a series of texts from the other woman, complete with photos and screenshots, I have to make a choice.

Option #1: Roll over and take it, because that's what everyone expects from omegas like me.

Option #2: Maturely contact him before the wedding and call things off.

Option #3: Show up at the church in full bridal regalia and blow up his effing life.

Guess which option I chose?

Revenge is sweet, right up until he destroys me in turn, leaving me with nothing and no one. Penniless, with no job, no family, and no place to live, I accept help from the charismatic owners of Club Zephyr, London's hottest new adult nightspot.

Gruff ex-constable Spencer, who plays white knight on his days off. Dark-eyed Hamid, whose hidden depths are even darker than mine. Aloof Xavier, with his tragic past and lonely present. And sweet, broken Angel, whose trust issues pulse through his veins like fresh blood.

Our sharp edges should slice each other to ribbons, but instead, we slot together like puzzle pieces. I never wanted a pack, but now I'm second-guessing myself. As we inch closer, I feel myself sliding into a new kind of danger.

It's easy to say "no strings attached," but how long can I keep my heart unbound?

I’m on a DNF roll and this is another casualty.

The plot didn’t feel like a plot, it was more like a collection of devises. I didn’t care about any of the characters other than Spencer and one of the allegedly good alphas was just plain skeevy. The pacing was weird and the writing style didn’t work for me. I’m not going to spend my free time with a book that isn’t wowing me.

I really liked Ember Blaze's first series and had bought this one when it released, now I was in the right mood to read it and I had a great time reading this book. Juni is in a tough situation with her fiancé cheating on her, losing her job and then most of her money and possessions. She accepts the help from a friendly alpha who offers his help and then she starts living together with the omega of the pack. They grow closer and she grows closer to the alphas as well.

While I really liked the Secret pack series, this one I might enjoy even more so far. There is less danger and suspense, but there's plenty going on with Juni landing in a difficult situation and needing help. I liked reading about Juni, Angel, Spencer, Hamid and Xavier. The relationship between Juni and Angel gets the most focus and I loved seeing how they helped each other and were there for the other. There are some great scenes involving Spencer and Hamid as well and I liked getting to know them. Xavier keeps his distance from Juni and only toward the end the reason for this gets revealed.

This book has it's sad moments as all characters have been gone through some tough stuff. Especially the scene were Juni and Angel open up about their traumatic pasts was heartbreaking and that made it all the sweeter to see them find some happiness. There is plenty of steam as well, but it takes a while to get there, but I liked the build up and felt it made the steam even better when they do get there. I liked the steamy scenes, there is some kink involved and plenty of variety in the steamy scenes so far. There is a lot of focus on consent and checking in with each other during the steamy scenes, which I liked.

My favorite part was seeing these broken and hurting characters get a bit of healing and grow throughout the book. I liked seeing how protective the alphas were of the omegas and do anything to keep them safe. I really liked seeing them all interact together and can't wait to see how they grow even closer in the next book.

To summarize: I really enjoyed this book. I liked reading about Juni, Angel, Spencer, Hamid and Xavier and seeing them grow closer. The most focus is on Juni and Angel's relationship and later Spencer and Hamid as well, while Xavier mostly keeps his distance. There are some sad parts with the traumatic pasts of some of the characters, but mostly it has a hopeful tone. I liked the sweet parts and the growing relationship and in the later part of the book there is plenty of steam as well. I liked the steamy scenes. I look forward to the next book and seeing these characters grow even closer.

I started this on Vella but didn't finish, so I was excited to see it come out as the full story (in two books). Two omegas in one pack is not as common in the OV genre, so I enjoy that pairing when it comes along. Juni has had a rougggghhhhh time. And Angel was hurt very badly as a teen/young adult. So like calls to like, and they bond over their broken pieces. I love how protective Angel gets of Juni and how she starts to heal a part of him that the three alphas couldn't quite reach. Spencer is the hero type, Hamid is ornery, and Xavier is aloof, but I can tell Xavier is probably going to weasel his way to the top of my list, under Angel, of course. The water scene is hawt and totally unique, so watch out!

This wasn’t a bad book, I just felt like there was no chemistry between the characters. Juni and Angel get to know each other but it all feels very platonic, like there’s no tension or flirting or anything and then just all of a sudden they want to have sex? And juni spends hardly anytime with the other alphas, but all of a sudden she’s not really scared of them anymore and they have one sex scene then bam

Angel is in heat and he wants her there so she has tons of sex with 2 of the 3 alphas and then they want to mate bond with her? Idk it just all felt a little forced and almost… clinical. We just don’t really see any relationship development in my opinion. None of the alphas really even talk to her or know her. It’s just weird to me.

I’ll probably start the 2nd book just to see how it goes but if it doesn’t get any better then I’ll probably DNF.

Jesus CHRIST!!!

And by that, I mean, DAMMMMMMMMN!!!

In translation, what a kinktastic adventure this was, GIVE ME MORE!!! Please and thank you.

I am of the speechless variety, for this book was a can't put down, don't talk to me, I don't care that I'm hiding at work to read, I need it more than I need air (a lot like that wowzer of a hot tub scene, lord help me) type of book. And that's the great kind, even if I get fired. Or lose all my friends. Or starve. It was that good.

Yes, yes, and Triple Yes on the double omega, interesting new biology for the male omega. I haven't had that yet, and I'm happy to add it to the collection. Now I have to eat something, I've ignored my growling belly to finish this for the last 4 hours.

It's set-up like a lot of other Omegaverse romances, sure. But the characters are really well fleshed out and interesting. I enjoyed their interactions with each other and to the plotting, so I felt like the writing was 98% smooth enough to be enjoyable. That's pretty good to me.

This sub-genre can get repetitive, I do agree--but this book has its own vibe. So its writing consistency doesn't feel like a carbon copy of anything, it just feels very representative of the genre.

Highly recommend it, IF ya' likie the RH Omegaverse!

After reading The Secret Pack series I found it very easy to read this omegaverse book. Some might find it confusing to read a shifter style book, without the shifters so maybe read that series first?
I found myself fully immersed in this tale and loved the characters. We don't get everyone's back story immediately, however those questions get answered in book 2. The plot flowed pretty well for me with periods of heartache and humour. On the whole this is a fairly lighthearted tale with a few darker moments.
I really recommend if your looking for a different type of paranormal.

Absolutely AWESOME 😁

This story is set in the future of another set of stories from the past 😃. This is after the fight for the rights of Alphas & Omega's, unfortunately Beta's are still trying to be the dominant cultural and making Alpha/Omega feel like less 😕. Thanks again Ember, I truly enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading more 🤓.

great story

I loved this sweet omegaverse. This was just what I wanted. Low angst romance. Well edited, most of the pack are a bit broken but they fit well together. I am off to read the next in the series.

RH MMMM/Omegaverse/Multi PoV

SYNOPSIS (Duet): The FC, Juniper, discovers her rich, powerful Beta fiancé has been cheating on her and dumps him at the alter. He takes revenge by ruining her life leaving her having to call on the help of a stranger who takes her back to his pack house. There she meets Angel, a traumatised omega who had been the victim of omega trafficking and the 3 Alphas whose pack he forms a part of (although he is not mated as he has a fear of being mated). The story covers how Juni and Angel bond and help each other get over their trauma and develop a relationship with the 3 Alphas each with their own damage. This is against a backdrop of Juni’s ex finance trying to get revenge. Book 1 ends on a very low level cliffhanger.

Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆🍆 The amount of sex and the heat increases through the duet and there is a lot of kink with a fair amount of sado masochism. Whilst the sex scenes are well written and hot personally I found they had too much of a cruel sado element to them for me. Everything is consensual but I felt that certain scenes just went too far into the cruel arena. 😵‍💫

The Duet is well written but takes a slightly different path with the male omega. It goes down the route of the male omega not being as well endowed as the alphas or having the same biology as well as being able to give birth and being more of a “female” sexually. I found it a bit creepy as it essentially feminised the male omega and that didn’t work for me at all (shudder).

There is a bit of background development on the characters although it is all fairly superficial and whilst almost all of the characters have their own “damage” this is dealt with as a brief descriptor for each MC almost as if it is only designed to give a bit of angst to the story and a short cut to make the characters more interesting. The result is that whilst you get to know the characters at a high level you don’t really connect with them or to fully understand their background. I also found the description of Xavier, the pack lead, a bit over the top in depicting him as older with repeated references to his creaking joints and groaning as he kneels down etc. which made me feel like he was more of a grandfather - again, that didn’t work for me in a romance.

The FC is nice enough with a bit of spine but overall I found her wishy-washy. There was nothing to her except for what the MCs made her. The author tells us that she is afraid of alphas because of her abusive alpha father but we don’t really hear anything specific about her upbringing other than her father killed her mother. The FC quickly overcomes any fears however once she meets the MCs though. Again, just a cheap plot mechanism by the author to create a character with depth.

There’s a bit of drama around the ex fiancé but it comes across as manufactured and whilst there is a bit of drama in the build up there is no real follow through. It was all a bit lame.

Overall I found this Duet wasn’t for me. From the lack of time and effort spent on the characters to the sado masochism and the male omega physiology. Also, what the hell is Alphamic? This was referenced throughout the book but never explained. 🙄

I quite liked this first part of the duet. However, it wasn't perfect, and some parts were even confusing or strange to me. I'm no stranger to kinky romance, as I've read a lot of those books.

Juniper is a well-developed character, and I could understand where she was coming from with her trauma. I don't want to judge or belittle her experiences in any way. However, I did have difficulties with her mindset. It seems that she didn't have personal experience with alphas, aside from what she witnessed as a child and what her mother told her. It's traumatic for a child to witness their violent alpha father beating their mother, and I can't recall if it was mentioned whether she saw her mother's death happen.

Not much was mentioned about Juniper's background, such as how she grew up or why her relationship with her family was strained. She only mentioned that her family, in general, was poor. She didn't even talk much about her friends in the US. It's strange that she didn't seem to keep in contact with them after her ex-fiancé cheated on her and left her behind.

Additionally, I couldn't fully grasp the Omega/Alpha connection or the biology behind it. The world building wasn't explained in much detail. There was a mention of the "Alphomic Accords" from forty years ago, but it was never clarified what that meant.

The same goes for the pack. There wasn't much information about their background. We got some important bits, like Angel's and Xavier's traumas, and some basic details like Spencer being an ex-police officer and the Hamid family, but it was quite basic and didn't explain much about why they are the way they are. I hope the second part delves into more details.

It's also strange that Juniper, who seemingly only had experience with Percy, quickly delves into the kinky stuff. For me, there wasn't much of a gradual progression or a focus on building relationships first.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the flow of the story. There were deep emotions and thoughts explored, and some of the intimate scenes were well-written and unique. The plot is fascinating, and I'm invested in knowing how it ends.

It's a peculiar mix, but because I enjoyed it and believe the issues I had could potentially be resolved in the second part, I give it 4 stars.

A text sent from an unknown number the night before her wedding changes everything. Juniper’s fiancé has been cheating. The other woman has sent her texts and pictures as proof. He doesn't have feelings for her; she’s only good for public relations in his political career. Given the option of calling off the wedding and disappearing or creating a scene, Juniper decides to end the relationship with some drama. Her revenge is short-lived, when he has his family company fire her, empties their joint bank account, and changes the locks on their apartment. When he tracks her down to threaten her, a knight in shining armor intervenes and gives her his card in case of future trouble. she never expected to use it but penniless and in shock, she reaches out. Spencer brings his omega Angel and rides to her rescue once again. She finds herself living with Angel and his “not my pack” pack of Spencer, Hamid, and Xavier are helping to restore her life. She may be broken but so are they. It might just work.

Let me say right in the beginning, I am not a fan of having more than one omega in a pack. I’m too selfish on behalf of the omega. No sharing. So, I was disappointed Angel was an omega and not a beta. The only thing that could have saved it was a lack of established pack or bonding making him their almost-omega. However, it soon became clear, he is the star of the story, not Juniper. She is a tool to help heal him and get his Alphas closer to him. The Pack has feelings for him and a mere attraction for Juniper. I was expecting Juniper to have the center role and wanted her to come first to a pack. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the male omega anatomy and there was a mention of male omega pregnancies. Not a fan, so I hope it doesn’t become a storyline. These are personal preferences and I understand others like what I don’t, so it should have no impact on other readers. Equally problematic was the Pack. They don’t feel like a Pack. Instead, they come across as business associates. The closeness is missing. Relationships in general are odd in this book, the Packmates, the Pack with their non-Omega, Juniper and her US friends. There is no closeness among anyone and it left me wanting more. I am hoping the ties that bind become tighter in the second book.

"Ten out of ten; highly recommend" 4.5 stars

I received an arc and this is my honest review:
This is a new author for me. I tend to shy away from books featuring 2 omegas in the same pack but I love reading Omegaverse books so I took a chance. I'm glad I did as this book was a pleasant surprise. I am impressed with this author's writing style and how they were able to make the story flow and keep my interest with multiple POV.

Two omegas in one pack can be, in my opinion, hard to execute properly. Sometimes the FMC can be pushed aside because their first omega is essentially established already. With this story though, I felt like both omegas were validated equally. I liked how the emotionally damaged omegas entered a relationship with each other first. It was cute to see their love for each other grow as they helped to heal one another in ways they didn't even realize were happening at first. It felt genuine.

All in all the alphas of the pack were distinct and likable. At first I thought Hamid was going to be the alphahole of the pack but I ended up loving him. He pushed them out of their comfort zones in order to help them overcome certain fears and awkward situations. Spencer is just a lovable good guy. He definitely earned his "White Knight" title. Xavier helps in the background and is distant but with good reason. You don't really get a good feel for his character until closer to the end of the book.

FYI: Just be aware before diving in that the omegas have past trauma. While it wasn't glossed over, it also didn't go into detail either so I felt it wasn't too bad trigger wise.

Pro: That hot tub scene though! I didn't think I'd be into the whole "mermaid" experience and wasn't sure how it was going to play out. WOW! If anything, read this book just for the spicy hot tub scene! Trust me, it's something you didn't know you needed in your life!

Con: I'd say the only thing I wasn't really into was the Alpha/Omega anatomy. I don't feel it took away from my reading experience but it was a bit different from other omegaverses I've read. Not my ideal omegaverse world but that's just my preference.

The couple: Spencer/Xavier/Hamid/Angel and Juniper

Romance trope: omegaverse; rh
Series: The Packverse
Length: 294 pages

Plot: Juniper is about to get married to her rich politician beta boyfriend when she receives a mysterious text message telling her that he's cheating on her. She dumps him at the altar, but he is not ready to let her go and doesn't appreciate the humiliation. While running and hiding from him, she suffers a series of misfortunes and eventually calls Spencer, an alpha that has helped her before. From there, she meets the rest of his pack and their almost-omega, Angel. They begin to develop relationships amongst themselves, but nothing is ever easy.

Commentary: I think that Angel and Juni's traumas kept this from being just an average omegaverse. It was pretty standard - three alphas in the pack, one suave dominant jerk, one aloof tortured soul who refuses to accept the new omega, and one teddy bear of a protector, and then one male omega who is wary at first but accepts the new omega first. I've read this story several times. Dealing with Juni's ex though, who is about to go on a crusade against the very business that the pack runs after she rejected him at the altar because of his cheating? That's a new element.

I will say that this book mentions that male omegas can get pregnant and I am not a big fan of mpreg, so I hope that doesn't show up in the second book.

Next book in the series: All for Knot: Book Two

"No matter how deep the ocean of how dark the night, I will hold both of you in my hands until my last breath." book 2 pg. 197

**Review shared for series**

Okay... my biggest complaint is I feel like the MAIN MAIN character was Angel. It just seemed like it was mostly about him healing from his past rather than Juniper healing from everything that happened/happens to her throughout the duet. I feel like Juniper was used as a bridge between the alphas and Angel.

Our main crew:

Juniper an omega that gets cheated on by her beta fiancé and decides to humiliate the politician at their wedding and then walk away. Spencer, an alpha and ex-police officer, that can't help being a knight in shining armor for omegas. Hamid, the oldest alpha and leader of the group with a traumatic background that keeps him from accepting his feelings for Juniper. Xavier, a suave alpha and the jokester of the group. Angel, a tortured omega that has spent the last nine years keeping his distance from the alphas upstairs who love him but is able to accept Juniper for the damaged omega she is.

2 omegas

You never know what you’re gonna get with a Omegaverse.

This beautiful and incredible start has been written so well.
I’m not always 100% on m/m reads, so it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
I didn’t think I’d take to it, esp how both omegas have strong traumas against alphas. But they work so well and think it was an always meant to be vibe between them as they are building a strong relationship around the alphas.

Not only does this story have some triggers and dark chapters. It also has the bad guy who I really hope karma gets her claws into.
The alphas have all got their own pasts and beliefs.

Set in London baby 😜 with a few character from America, how can you not love it. Entertaining, deep, dark and delicious, a combination of treats that will keep you addicted through out.

Book 2 can only imagine being even more incredible.

Good Read

All For Knot Part 1 is the first book in The Packverse series and follows Juni as she finds out her fiancee has been cheating on her the day before her wedding and after publicly calling him out on it find her life falling apart but is rescued by Spencer who helped her out when her Alex confronted her.

I found this book to be quite intriguing. The characters themselves all had parts of them that were broken, some more than others, but they all fit together and began to start healing each other. I really liked the characters and they had me running through a rollercoaster of emotions with them as the story progressed. I’m curious to see what happens in the next book after the ending of this one.

Overall, this was a good read and one I’d recommend.

When I read the blurb for this, I envisioned Rosalee off the glittery vampire movie and her revenge quest. That’s not what happens. Lol. Nope. Though Juni does make her point. Publicly. And then gets raging drunk. I mean, who wouldn’t? Her ex cheated on her. But this leads to a series of unfortunate events that lands her within the safety of a pack that has its own issues. I enjoyed Juni’s growth and her ability to start to see her own self worth. And the guys she befriends are pretty hot in their own way as well. This was an enjoyable read, and I’ve already downloaded book two. Happy reading!

This was a surprisingly good story! A light read that you can pick up and put down without being lost - but who would want to put it down? I'm starting book 2 as soon as possible!
Great smutt, character building, and relationship progression.
The trauma doesn't go away overnight for these omegas. It takes time, repeated exposure, flash backs, PTSD episodes, honesty, hard conversations, and lots of work.
The kink-play (Especially the underwater bj) was exciting and unique. I can't wait to see what else they get up to and how they take Percy down!

I’m really on the fence with this one.

I loved the story to begin with and thought it was such good character development. But then something in it shifted for me! I can’t put my finger on what part it was but definitely think it was when we found out about Xavier’s past.

And then the major cliff hanger.. I was like eh how can that be the end it made so sense and just felt like it stopped suddenly to which I decided I wasn’t going continue with the next book.

3 stars because I did enjoy the first 3/4 of this book but just the last part had me not vibing.

Juniper found out that her fiance was cheating the night before her wedding. Then her life took a nose dive from there. With nothing left, she was taken in by the alpha that saved her from her ex the night before. But he is part of an almost established pack, with a male omega.
This was a good book. The chemistry between the two Omegas is so good. The easy banter between them all is as well. The past trauma shared between Angel and Juniper helps them bond. I'm curious to see what happens in part two.

Well this story started off really great. And then it got long and drawn out and the whole alpha beta omega (but not shifters) thing was really confusing. And then the story stopped. Not a cliff, not an end. Just stopped because for no good reason it was split into two books. Sorry, just don't care enough to read the next one at this time. Maybe someday when I've finished the other 87 million books in my TBR.

Different and interesting omegaverse romance

I really enjoyed this first in a series sweetverse type story. The characters are interesting, and it's a different plotline than past omegaverse books I have read. I think there has been good character growth in some of the male MCs, but I felt that others seem a bit one dimensional yet. That may be well on purpose. I also got a little tired with the emphasis on "kink". It took away from the romance aspect.

All For Knot was excellent!

All For Knot, book 1 of The Packverse series, by Ember Blaze. I initially started this book when it was on Kindle Vella & for some reason I stopped? Not sure why though?! Probably because I didn't want to buy per chapter! LOL

I absolutely loved this book about Juniper, Spencer, Hamid, Xavier & Angel! Tropes: Contemporary, Omegaverse, Female & Male Omegas, Three Alphas, Piece of Crud Ex, 🐝D$M Aspects, Age Gap & a cliffhanger!

A well written book, the story of the main characters is covered in great detail.

I love omegaverse and I read this book with great pleasure.
The book lets me discover new things that I have not yet encountered in other omegaverse books.

The story is exciting, dark, contains traumas that are dealt with with great patience.
Besides this, it contains so much more, too much to describe.
You end up on a roller coaster full of emotions.

intriguing with a unique Male Omega physiology

I definitely enjoyed this 1st book! The story is engaging and thought provoking. I’ve read a lot of Omegaverse and am not a novice to MPreg stuff. Just a forewarning the male omega anatomy in this book is unique from others Omegaverse I’ve read. There is MPreg possibility in this one (however not present) due to physical characteristics. Overall it is a really good book!

This book is about a sweet Omega Juniper, getting ready to marry a beta and the night before that she finds out he is cheating on her with other women.

She then calls it off at the wedding (this was hilarious for me) and runs off.

She stays at a bar/hotel and he beta guy finds her and threatens her that he will ruin her and she needs to come back to him or else.

Spencer comes in and saves the day and he tells her if she needs anything to let him know and he will help her.

Juniper is left with no job, no money (her ass ex steals it), no place to live and her best friend was boinking him too.

She goes to live with the guys and finds out Angel is an omega but not bonded to the group of guys at all.

Everything is rolling out pretty nicely and Angel and Juniper start having a great relationship. The ending was a bit rough but I was able to get the next one on KU that night.

Started rocky, being set in London usually means awkward cockney accents and slang being thrown about, which it had in the beginning (and I was knot looking forward to more of), but it bled away to just a really fun story. Can’t wait for more. Also I can do graphic design AND numbers/spreadsheets can I get a hot rich pack yet?
