Tammie Flint is just a girl who wants to have a good time at the rodeo with her best friend--maybe even meet a few cute guys. She didn’t expect to fall in love with a cowboy or to put the lives of everyone she holds dear in danger.

I normally really like were stories, but this one just did not work for me. I was disappointed in the demise of Sam. I liked Hank, but overall I was let down as I was really looking forward to this.

Just a warning...this is a short story, so the story is rather, well, short. This review may be short as well. Also this is the "prequel" to Hunter Moon, which I already read. I would advice to read Hunter Moon first, but in the end it doesn't really matter. This is the story on how Hank and Tammie met.

It was really cute, but very quick. Tammie and Hank fall in love right away at the bar one lovely night. Also Hank's buddy Sam falls in love with Tammie's gal pal, Denise. It was a nice touch that both boys found their "soul mates", but it did irk me on HOW quickly they fell in love. They all knew each other for like 3 days and that was it. It didn't feel realistic...but it is a short story and people in short stories fall head-over-heels quickly.

Also, I did not like the ending one lick. It was a huge cliff-hanger and I wanted to slap both Tammie and Hank. GAH! Morons! >.> I can not say more for I fear I will ruin it. But I shall say it was a cute story, but with not a HEA ending that you would expect. There is a rather tragic twist all over that I was not expecting AT ALL. *sighs*

In the end, I really like Cait Lavender and I can't wait for the sequel to Hunter Moon to come out. This was a nice filler until she gets the other book done. It was quick, sweet, and had me for a loop. I would recommend to those that like werewolves and all that fantasy stuff. Also, I would say to read Hunter Moon before diving into this, but it really doesn't matter. I shall stamp this with 3 stars.

Favorite Character(s): Hank, Sam (awwwweeee), and Denise.
Not-so Favorite Character(s): Vampires (evil creatures in this one) and Tammie (I could be slightly biased on this one, but oh well.)

Holy cow this was a good, quick read. I sadly read the entire thing in less than a day. I say sadly because I WANT MORE!!! Hank is a cowboy. A real true cowboy...with a wolfy side of course. Tammie is a 19 year old who has taken off to look for some fun. What she finds is definitely not what she expected. She and her best friend have traveled away from home to a rodeo. During their trip they run into Sam and Hank, two rodeo werewolves. They don't know they are werewolves at first, but it pretty much is love at first sight. In werewolf terms, that means Sam and Hank have found their lifelong mates. Of course this has a very tragic twist.

Tammie and Denise have been marked for dead by the upir, i.e. demons living in human bodies. Why? We really don't know. Hank falls for Tammie and Sam (hanks pack brother) falls for Denise pretty much instantly and take is upon themselves to protect them from the Upir. You will be shocked at how well the girls take finding out that they are in love with werewolves and how the story "ends." I put quotes on that because this story has one of the biggest cliffhangers I have ever read. It will definitely leave you screaming for more! It is fast-pced, sexy, sensual, and everything you could want from an alpha werewolf meeting his mate novel. I just want more!!

Ok I have to tell you I have a new best friend in Cait Lavender. I just got finished reading Cowboy Moon from her which is a short novel. What girl can resist Lupines, and gorgeous mouth watering cowboys. Certainly not me! This story focuses on a duo of men Hank who is a alpha and Sam his best friend and pack mate. The meet two women Tammy and Denise and to their surprise they find out that they are there mates. But like all good stories life has to throw in a couple of spine thrilling rollercoaster’s into the mix to derail true love always. I would give this book 5 stars and would recommend that you get the newest book Hunter Moon which follows the story of Cash and Shelby. Hank makes a appearance in their that is going to knock your socks off. Also follow that up with the anthology Cupid Painted Blind which is a collection of stories by six amazing women Liz Schulte, Lisa Rayns, Olivia Hardin, C.G. Powell, Stephanie Nelson, and Cait Lavender has a story in their called Fool Moon. These are all stand alone books you don’t have to read them in order but I would definitely read them all you won’t be disappointed. You will definitely need to have a very cold shower after reading them.

Cait gave me the honor of reading this short novel. I haven't read anything else by her, but now I will!!This is a very quick read and just leaves you hanging in the middle of the story. I'm dying to know what happens next. This story is about to young girls (Tammie and her friend)away from home and meet to handsome young men (Hank and Sam). Hank and Sam are rodeo cowboys who happen to be werewolves that fall in love with the two girls, who so happen to have a death warrant out for them by upirs. The cowboys/wolfs try to save the girls and the unexpected happens and we are left hanging! I only gave this review a four star due to I want to know what happens and I have no idea if there will be a sequel to conclude the novella. This book is well written for being just a short story and who doesn't love hot handsome werewolf men??

I enjoyed this tale of two cowboys meeting their mates. While the ending was abrupt, it's called a cliffhanger- it's to make you want to purchase the next in the series to learn more, and for me it succeeded. I want more. Hunter pretends to be a cowboy, but he's more than that- he's a werewolf. And at the bar one night he meets his match- literally. Tammie is his mate, and his best friend mates with her best friend. The danger? The vamps want her, too, and a turf war breaks out. I loved the twists of a cowboy wolf going up against vamps in a territory not his own, and I intend to read more from this author.

This is a very quick and enjoyable read. So enjoyable that I hated for it to end! Hank and Tammie have this instant connection that at first just seems to be completely sexual, but soon you realize that they are destined to be together. This story is written in the first person, and I found that a bit confusing at times because it jumps from Hank’s point of view to Tammie’s. But after a while you get use to it and it’s not confusing anymore. All in all, this was a very good story and I definitely recommend it for others to read.

This really is such an amazing idea of a story and the writing is incredible. I am glad I read this one second to the main book as it made far more sense i think. Its very modern in style and has lots of heart. Although catergorised as a paranormal romance based on mating wolves, it is just so much more. I'm loving this series, bring on the next installment!

I really enjoyed this short. It grabbed me from the beginning. My only complaint is that it was just too short :) I enjoyed character's inner monologue as well as the banter between them. The characters were fresh and original. I definitely will read more from this author!
